My partner and I stayed here in mid March 2025 for three nights and absolutely loved it. Super cute interior design, central location, reasonable pricing and the most comfortable bed! The staff was lovely too. Only downside was the weird door situation between the bathroom/toilet and the rest of the room. Not a lot of privacy! Otherwise, fantastic, and absolutely highly recommended for couples and singles visiting Melbourne.

I have to admit. I don't think I'm cool enough for Zagame's house. The venue is the dimly lit alternative to what QT hotels wanted to be.
The neatly appointed open plan rooms on trendy Lygon street really deserve high praise and left me wanting nothing.
Not loud at all. Quiet and relaxing.
The bar across "Lord Lygon" was also too cool for me but very relaxing for a happy hour drink.. I stayed for a bottle.

Breakfast in the hotel's reception was excellent. The eggs Benedict perfectly cooked.

Coffee was also very satisfying. I will return. Well done.

We had a fantastic two-night stay at Zagame’s House! The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and very comfortable. Check-in was seamless, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. Room service was excellent, and the wine bar/restaurant downstairs was a highlight of our stay. We dined there both nights and enjoyed happy hour.

We’d gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to friends. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

If you are looking for a nice dark and cool room to sleep this is not the place, classic little blue and green lights on from the AC control pad and other things, no black out curtains just blinds with gaps and the AC isn’t that cool.

They have breakfast downstairs that’s sub par but better than most hotels

They did give me a eye mask for the remaining 2 nights

Amazing! Love the little details.... from sculptures on the wall and a fountain at the door... to friendly, helpful staff.... to reflections of trees on the bathroom mirror... to stunning food made with great care. Truly a delight to the tastebuds and a joy to stay. Thankyou so much!

Funky hotel in good Melbourne location. Good sized rooms, clean & functional. No facial tissue in the room is a bit surprising. On-site restaurant has limited menu but great quality. Free use of hotel washer & dryer is a nice plus for longer trips.

Excellent place to stay! The location is perfect, and the service is truly outstanding. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable—everyone is so accommodating and kind! The rooms are very clean, and the food is absolutely amazing. A special shoutout to the head chef, Jon, who went out of his way to accommodate our vegetarian preferences and prepared some truly delicious dishes for us. Highly recommend this place!

I had a lovely time at Zagame’s. The rooms were beautiful and the service was fantastic.
The only thing that spoilt this experience was when I heard (who I can only assume is the head cleaner) speaking to her staff.
She was incredibly rude towards them and made an effort to point out everything they were doing wrong in the most aggressive, unprofessional way possible.
This left a horrible feeling as I was worried all staff are treated like this..
everything else was lovely, but I hope this is addressed by management because if you make an effort to ensure staff are not treated poorly by guests, they definitely should not be treated like that by their employer.
