People start their reviews with " a nice old wooden pub", I am going to start with a run down piece of history that needs a revamp, in particular the male toilets.
The food is not of a high standard, with overcooked chips and vegetables and pizzas that would likely kill your desire to go back for more, however the service is pretty good!
The selection of drinks is minimal at the bar.
There is some good historical photos around the place, but few are dated or have any history info.
There is a nice outside area to take in the piece and quiet that is Yungaburra.

The last three visits with being the other day all we experience was rude obnoxious staff that seem to be more concerned about chatting to each other or paying more attention to their phones when asked about certain things staff gave a grunt or one word response. Our meals were that bad we left without finishing them Didn’t bother speaking to staff because from their previous behaviour why bother I understand hospitality is a thankless job but the Service was absolutely pathetic so was the behaviour of their staff

Very recently had “The Roast of the Day”. Service was friendly, meal was very disappointing, overloaded with slices of roast meat, green beans, potato half cooked, no pumpkin on my plate and a blob of tasteless gravy. Sorry won’t be recommending the pub for its meals. Hope management reads this review. Visit Yungaburra regularly as we live in Cairns.

Went there for lunch, very nice old pub, everyone liked their meals, I had the burger which I wouldn't recommend, was pretty ordinary for the price, but like I said the other meals were well received

I was in the bistro having a nice calming dinner with my boyfriend when this ginger came up to me and asked me "do you have vape?'' when i politely declined she then proceeded to grunt at me and stomp away. ||i believe her name was leila or layla or something along that line.||i do not appreciate the way i was treated and wish to have an apology.

This is a wonderful old wooden pub. It is the centre piece of Yungaburra. Beer is always cold. If you like grand old structures, you will not be disappointed. I love having a drink on the covered patio or on the wooded bench and tables out front. Can definitely recommend you visit it.
