I seldom do reviews, but the fact that the tours I did with Yoyo was so worthy of one just speaks for itself. We did two tours with Yoyo, one to Great Ocean Road, and another one to Puffing Billy and Phillip Island. From the very beginning of the booking process, everything has been smooth and easy. Yoyo went out of her way to ensure that our stay in Melbourne was most memorable. I must highly recommend Yoyo and her tours to anyone coming to Melbourne and looking for small group day tours.

I came across YoYo Melbourne Tours after searching through countless tour providers for the ideal itinerary that fits our schedule but in vain. For starters, YoYo's website provided the necessary clarity, transparency, and certainty that other tour providers, especially those Chinese-speaking ones, lack. Unlike most other tour providers, you will have a clear idea of the dates of the different tours on offer without having to repeatedly ask for availability. All tickets of activities in the tour are also included in a highly competitive pricing, which is not often the case with other providers. You also get a discount if you join more than one tour. Most importantly, while most providers require a minimum of four participants to form a tour, Yoyo would still do a tour for less than four participants for just a small add-on fee. This provides the certainty that many travellers need as it would be most unfortunate to have your tour cancelled in short notice due to insufficient participants. And for me, the small add-on fee is more than worth-it for what you get in a "private" tour with Yoyo, where you could enjoy much greater privacy and in-depth interaction with the guide, who could answer any questions you may have about Melbourne, whether or not it is related to the tour itself.

Even before the tour began, Yoyo had been utmost helpful. We were trying to get hold of some theatre tickets but were unable to complete the online booking due to technical glitches of the website. In what was originally a last-ditch attempt to get hold of tickets, I contacted Yoyo to see if she could help us purchase them. To my pleasant surprise, Yoyo promptly assisted us with the tickets without even asking us to secure payment beforehand, only asking us to pay her back the exact ticket fees in cash afterwards. This serves to show how resourceful and warm Yoyo is, and the length she would go to make your trip a great one.

So, with already high expectations, we embarked on the two day trips back-to-back in early April. Yoyo fully demonstrated her professionalism and thoughtfulness in arranging suitable transport having regard to the group size, and tailoring activities having regard to the actual circumstances and our preferences.

During the tour, she told countless fun and interesting stories about the tourist spots, while leaving sufficient time for us to rest during the long rides in between. One most impressive trait of Yoyo was her ability to seemingly recount all important dates by heart (though not that we could tell if she had been wrong). At the attractions, she would make helpful suggestions from experience such that we could view the sites from the best angle. She would also offer to take pictures for us, and would continue to do so tirelessly until we were fully satisfied. She adjusted the timing of the trip very well such that we reach each destination ahead of the crowd and just in time, without having to rush or wait for prolonged period of times.

All in all, even though the weather had not been as ideal as we would have liked it to be, Yoyo definitely was the beam of sunshine during our stay. If we had to assign a score to the tours, it would be 120 out of 100. We would truly miss our time in Melbourne, and particularly the two days we spend with Yoyo. We would not hesitate in offering our highest recommendation for YoYo Melbourne Tours. We are fully confident that you will find your time with Yoyo as enjoyable and unforgettable as we did.

My family and I booked a private day tour to Great Ocean Road last week. The experience is beyond my expectation.

Yo-yo is very professional and knowledgeable about the area. She kept explaining things to us while driving. She took us to places where normal tours wouldn’t stop. She’s very passionate about travel. We came back to hotel a lot later than we planned, yet she still took us to see the possums near our hotel.
