Good little hostel! Friendly staff and other people staying. The lounge area was great, particularly with the fire on. I loved how they had all these guides about the local area and walks you can do. Kangaroos also right outside!

Perfect stay. Lovely peaceful place to stay in Halls Gap surrounded by incredible scenery and wildlife. Close to great walks. Staff were so friendly. The double room and shared areas were comfy and spotless with loads of places to sit and relax. Wish we were staying longer!!! Would definitely stay here again 🙂

Rooms are aged and bare basics, but clean. The venue in general shows its age, but it’s actually quiet and comfortable. The whole location is lovely, so many great places to relax and enjoy some quiet time. 10 rooms on the first floor with two toilets and two showers per bathroom. I assume the same on the top floor. Kitchens are cleans and tidy, everything is really well stocked. Possibly the only downside was the fact that there is very little soundproofing in any walls or doors… oh and the beds are super low futon style…

Loved our private room in the YHA. Easy and accessible kitchen and common areas. Bathrooms were clean and parking was easy. Perfect for a weekend in Halls Gap! Slightly out of the town centre, but a lovely walk or short drive

Stayed here over a year ago as of writing this review, and to this day it remains memorable as one of the best experiences I've ever had. The Grampians are obviously gorgeous, but this little YHA had incredibly friendly staff, rooms with everything you'd really need (especially considering you'll be out hiking all day), great facilities, a friendly and welcoming vibe, and all for an affordable cost. This place is a gem. I couldn't recommend it more.

Absolutely fantastic hostel in a stunning location. Well equipped, clean and homely. Great value too.

Massive shout out to the manager, Mark, who made sure we had everything we needed and was great company.

Definitely one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. YHA just know what they’re doing. Would honestly choose this over a hotel…

Great value, clean, big functional kitchen, nice outdoor area, respectful guests not a pisshead crowd. The washing machine didn't perform so well. 4pm check in.

Very friendly place, met some nice people there. Easy access to the hikes (but in Jan 2025 some are closed due to bushfires). Clean, spacious and tranquil hostel, recommended.
