BE WARNED!!!
Do not go anywhere near this business!!!
Aggressive liar of an owner - Tony
shows no respect to anyone and especially to women!
Rebuilt our auto transmission- 11 months later problems with transmission fluid leaking everywhere. Vehicle went back in and the problem could not be diagnosed and we had trouble getting the car back after 10 days! We were told it was still in pieces and he was too busy to put it back together - wouldn’t give us a finish date despite explaining that we needed our vehicle back to run our business!
We finally got it back after lots of unpleasant calls and it’s still leaking ALOT of transmission fluid!! Still not fixed!!
We asked again for it to be fixed but we got fobbed off and told he is too busy!!
Told to keep calling back , false promises made. Told that it would be fixed before Easter so we could tow our caravan and go away. It’s not going to get fixed! Now our Easter holiday plans are ruined and cancelled due to this unprofessional dodgy mechanic!
So many terrible reviews, I have just discovered!! I wish I had of googled this business before it was recommended to us!
Lesson learned the hard way!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t get this business to touch your car. Don’t go through what we have been going through! Save yourself all the stress!
This business should be shut down and Tony should not be allowed to rip innocent hard working people off, like he is!
He is SO rude , and unapologetic - just a total scum bag of a human being!
He has caused us so much stress!!
I feel sorry for the others before us who experienced the same.
Now we will have to find the money to get it fixed else where! We can’t trust him now after seeing that we are not alone!
I smelt a rat and he is a rat!
I wish I had read the reviews earlier and realised just who we were dealing with!

After two years of endless problems and two previous mechanics I was finally referred to Tony at Yarra Valley Automatic Transmissions. Tony is fantastic! Treated me with the upmost respect, always fitting me in and explained every detail of what he was working on. He's extremely thorough and made sure everything was perfect before handing my car back. He now has my car running like a dream! If you love your car as I do, stop messing around with lesser mechanics and do yourself a favour - go straight to see Tony! I will never go to another mechanic - cannot recommend Tony enough!

I think Tim says it all.

Have also had 3 rebuilds from Tony and now fails to return calls or emails 12 months on and still without a working box, not to mention parts I need from it.

Less than 10 months after a rebuild from YARRA VALLEY which cost 2X the quotes from other workshops around Melbourne which I found afterwards.

The car was at the workshop for 3 MONTHS with no customer service or contact with me within then. Apparently all workers got COVID-19 and a broken car hoist were a few of the excuses.

I visited to get an answer and his workers lied to and not having any information about the car.

Upon pickup the gearbox was never removed to repair. It was sprayed canned silver all around the under side of the car and box. Still PISSING out oil.

Abusive personality , has no respect for anyone but himself, will use your cars to drive for personal reasons. He never pays staff properly , talks bad about every other mechanic in the area . Has no respect for women or other cultures .
