Walked in and was greeted by 2 grumpy old ladies and was immediately told off for bringing my camera as, I quote “PHOTOS ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN”

I politely asked why, the first old lady did some sort of eye rolling gesture while the second one went on a rant about people putting photos of the museum on their computers and facebook and that the museum doesn’t make money out of that.

I walked out at this point.

Photos online and endorsement from visitors to their friends = free promotion which = more visitors.

If the museum wants to make more money than perhaps they ought to start with a decent website containing info like opening hours, admission fees, etc… Then they should look at improving customer experience by replacing the Wicked Witches of the West-Wyalong with some friendly and sociable people.

Wyalong already hasn’t got much to offer, people don’t owe it to you to stop and come in.
