CHINA TOUR APRIL 2019.
The whole itinerary of the China tour was well planned and seamless in terms of pre tour information, having English speaking guides meeting us at airports and allowing plenty of time at airports- making allowances for students who are not seasoned travelers. We had one issue with a guide whose English was not great and a hotel (poor breakfast and a long way away). One phone call and we had an upgrade of hotels and a new Guide was booked for us and met us the next day and who spoke fluent English and bonded well with students and staff. This was fabulous service and appreciated by us all on the tour.

We have been working with WorldStrides for the last few years and every year we continue to experience flawless management of our trip. Quotes are prompt and more than compatible with other companies. In fact costs are generally less than other company quotes and we get a service that goes beyond inclusions. Our trip always runs smoothly, from the plane to the snow and back again, and the on-snow support is invaluable. Our students personally and academically grow throughout this experience- independence, cooperation, physical skills and life opportunities are just a few of the many positives this trip makes available. I would have no hesitation in recommending World strides to organise any school trip as they know what a trip co-coordinator needs.

Our school has been conducted study tours in conjunction with WorldStrides to Italy, France, Belgium and the UK for a quite a few years now and have always found them to be highly professional from start to finish and very understanding of the needs of schools. I would not hesitate in recommending WorldStrides to other schools who are seeking to conduct a study tour!

The experienced of being in an Alpine region during winter is such a wondrous adventure for our students! At Bayside, we run a Mt Hotham snow camp for Year 9 & 10 students every second year, and for most of the students, it is their first time seeing and being at the snow. We run a 6 month fitness and snow safety program leading up to camp, so that the students have the best possible understanding and knowledge of what they will experience, but the reality is that actually being there, teaches the students so much more than any fitness or theory session. Students have to overcome various challenges, and learning a brand new skill from scratch, either skiing or snowboarding, can be very humbling. This, in turn, lets us see some of the fantastic personal qualities in our students, as they support and uplift one another, and continue to encourage each other from learning through to having consistent success! Our students always say that snow camp is the best camp that they have been on.

This Italy, France and Spain art trip covered from Roman, Renaissance, Impressionism through to contemporary times. The students undertook drawing classes in Florence which they found invaluable. The experiences of viewing works and sites in Rome, Florence, Paris, Avignon, Madrid and Barcelona in a three week visit was both exciting for them culturally but also on a personal level where they could interact with places that they had only ever seen on screens and publications. Great friendships were formed as they bonded over the shared experiences. Visually, the side trip to Giverny (Monet's home and Garden) and the quarry spectacular of Carrieres de Lumieres (Van Gogh sound and light show) in the south of France were absolute highlights. The quarries highlighted Van Gogh who painted nearby and with Giverny they had a deeper understanding of how Monet worked. WorldStrides itinerary for the whole trip was thorough and they were so friendly and helpful with the whole process of this tour right from the initial planning through to on the ground support while travelling.
