We attended a concert here last Saturday evening. Car parking opposite the town hall was very good. Easy to find a park and also near the train station. There is a pedestrian crossing with lights opposite the hall at the end of the car park. When entering the hall you’re on flat ground and there is a disabled toilet just inside the foyer area.
When you go through the foyer to the left was a passageway that led to a bar and you were able to purchase drinks and take into the concert with you. In the main foyer area, they had a merchandise stand and an area we could get your photo taken with the group after the concert. There was not a large amount of space with all the people waiting to go in and exit after the concert. When entering the main hall we went down a passage to the front and then had to go across to find our seats. There was only one door opened into the main hall that everyone had to use regardless of which side of the hall you were sitting on. Having a door open on the other side of the hall would’ve been beneficial for the flow of people. We were seated in Rossi which was three steps up from the ground level. There were no rails or anything to hang onto when going up the stairs. Something to be aware of if you have a disability. There were seats in the front that were on ground level and there was also an area that would’ve been accessible if you’re in a wheelchair. When booking you would need to request that you want to be seated on floor level. We had a good view of the group from our seats And the lighting was good. Although I have low vision I found the lighting was not overly glory and not in the audience‘s eyes.
Overall this is an excellent venue with great sound and easy to access. We would attend an event at this venue again. The staff were also very friendly.

Went to see a friend perform at one of Choolala's Burlesque events held at this venue. Located on a busy road, this is a beautiful old building. The foyer and the lobby bring back memories of days gone by. As the seating space in front of the stage was fully occupied, the only available space was upstairs in the dress circle. There are some very comfortable lounges at the front but when using these the view of the stage is impeded due to the railings in front of you (another reviewer has also made note of this). Choosing a seat further on up seemed to be a much better option as it offered a more enhanced view of the stage. The ornate ceiling and the atmosphere of place takes you back in time. There were a few seats that were in 'dire straits' and in need of repair. As there were two shows on that evening, the theatre had to be vacated quickly so that patrons who were there for the next show could be seated. This seemed to be a smooth experience for the patrons which means that the design of the place is well thought out. Even though there were plenty of people milling around in the lobby, the exits were clearly marked and there was no jostling around. There is a car park at the rear of the building which is easily accessible via two side streets.

Great venue. The sound setup and the lighting was good.

The view is obstructed I'm the first row on the top so avoid that and you will be fine
