Absolutely bliss! Arriving at Bimbul cabin, we felt our stresses melt away instantly. Nestled away amongst the pines, this cabin offers everything you need for an off-grid (and pet-friendly) escape. Plenty of land to explore on foot, the bubbling creek only a few hundred metres away and wildlife galore. Bimbul has a beautiful bay window, a huge deck, an indoor fireplace with a bakers oven, and an outdoor fire pit. A cupboard filled with books, games and puzzles. There is no shortage of things to do and see here.
We truly had the most amazing time here and highly recommend! We can't wait to come back!

This magnificent tree… 50 metres from the ‘serenity cabin’ gave me all the ‘Thumbs up’ that I needed in confirmation I was in the right place…. And oh! How I needed this time for just myself and my dog with no distractions of phone or internet or the responsibilities of my family/ friends or clients when I have been feeling so burnt out.
Every morning I took myself to my own personal ice cold plunge pool and immersed myself in its running waters…. My dog and I walked the road to the start of the national park and got to witness the amazing scenery and creeks along the way….
I had my little indoor fire every night ( that I love to obsess over) with no one telling me ‘ I wasn’t doing it right’ …. It was all just perfect for me and what my soul needed…. And for those worrying about no reception… the amazing hosts have a 2 way radio where you can contact them at any time….
For me… this was exactly what I’ve needed for a long time now… but also for my dog who was brutally attacked 2 months ago…. So this was a big confidence boost for him in exploring the world again with no threat… a huge healing for both of us!

Absolutely stunning stay in the Serenity cabin! The cabin is completed isolated surrounded by the rainforest. You are so immersed in nature its just beautiful! The sounds of the rainforest are incredible and you can go to sleep listening to them - totally dreamy. ||The cabin also has its own private river access with a large natural pool to swim in with rainforest surrounding it - so lush! ||Mark is absolutely lovely and super welcoming. We were given a very generous early and late checkout which meant we could make the most of our stay. We never wanted to leave! Thanks heaps for an awesome stay 🙂

Absolutely loved the 'unplugged' experience of Wongari. Serenity cottage was exactly as its name implies. A great getaway to rest, relax, read and reconnect. The cabin was lovely and the hosts warm and welcoming. Would thoroughly recommend.

A genuine retreat, operated by genuine owners, who welcome you genuinely, offering a genuine contact with nature. We adored how the forest is hugging snugly the "Serenity" cabin, and how the hum of the nearby creak, always present, operates its magic. Very soon after arriving, you feel rejuvenated. Born again!||We were impressed by how effectively the space is used in the cabin and by how all the necessary comforts of modern life are provided. The spacious, pebbled, rain forest shower was one of the highlights. Where else can you, in total privacy, enjoy a shower while looking at the forest, lit up?||The setting is so very private that you soon forget that, beyond the stunning nearby mountains, there is still the frantic world you left behind.|It was a rare treat to go, again and again, with our dog, for refreshing swims in the nearby creek, in limpid, fast running water.||Last but not least, we loved the Precious Peace!

Serenity cottage is nestled amongst trees and just a short walk through rainforest to a private creek and waterfall with pristine waters. There are windows all around, so even inside, warmed by a woodfire oven, one still feels outside. And all possible amenities are provided with excellent style. The location, 2km from the entrance to Lamington National Park, far from essentially all traffic brings with it a quiet and a peace that few if any other accommodations can offer. The surrounds offer a wilderness adventure with beautiful rough hiking trails. Our hosts, Mark and Brad, were so lovely and generous!

My husband and myself, along with our GS enjoyed a wonderful experience here at ‘Serenity’ cottage for a weekend to finish off our busy year of 2024.
Surrounded by the beautiful picturesque natural greenery of mothernature, hearing and seeing the fresh water creek in the backyard, also spotting different birds with their individual songs, we were fortunate enough to see a pretty blue butterfly and a yellow butterfly as well, such a special hideaway to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of our world. Even experienced a thunder storm on our last night too, GS wasn’t too thrilled though..
We also purchased the ‘couples massage’ with local Toni whom gave us full body massages including her ‘Bowen Therapy’ techniques & this was absolutely fabulously well received.
A huge thanks to Mark & Brad for being great hosts for us, we would like to wish you both a very Happy and Exciting New Year in 2025! See you next time.

Stayed 2 nights with our 2 year old son and 2 furbabies. Our first family holiday and could not ask for a better memory. Absolutely stunning views and engulfed in beautiful nature. The creek was so clear and you can hear it running all day/night. Highly recommended for those who want to connect with nature and find serenity.
