I come here for lunch regularly with my tour group.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
It's a beautiful place to holiday at.
Has its own supermarket so don't have to bring food. You can buy it there.
I truly recommend staying here, you won't regret it.
There is a fuel station also, so you can travel anywhere, and never be nervous of running out.

Lots of information available and a well stocked shop as well. The park area has lots of shelters and BBQ areas scattered through the natural bushland. The unpowered sites allow you to chose your own spot under the gumtrees or along the creek area. Powered sites are also available. The park is well maintained. Beautiful spot to relax and also the entrance to the pound. The heysen trail passes through the area too and was great for bike riding.

Visited the Wilpena Pound visitor centre which was the starting point for the Bridle Gap hike. The total hike was 19km (out and back) and with has a fantastic look out at the end of the hike. Generally, it's an easy hike but it's challenging at the end due to 2 issues. Firstly, there was a forest fire so it's hard to see the trail, so use a trail app to help navigate (I used all trails). Secondly, the end was a bit of a climb with loose rocks. So wear appropriate shoes.

Definitely able to wildlife like kangaroo and bird on this hike. The last toilet is the Wangara Look out. As we took a hike to Wangara Look Out on the way back the total hike took around 6 hours.

There is a book to sign at the beginning of the hike, please sign it for your safety.

I’m enjoying my stay here at the Pound. I have a powered site and it easily takes my 13.3 mtrs. There are fire rings to use. The ammenities I can’t comment on as I am self contained and no need. The staff are polite efficient and courteous.
I took a flight over the Pound and surrounds and was well worth it. It will be a highlight memory for this adventure.

We had a good experience at the visitor centre. Very helpful staff. We camped in the unpowered area for a few days and found it perfectly adequate. Sad to see other campers taking unfair advantage of the facilities using power / water etc. in the BBQ areas. Plenty of space for camping though. No need to camp on top of each other at all. 🤭

We stayed in a power site to use the aircon. Having a swim in the pool was most enjoyable to cool down. I recommend doing the 4x4 track around this working sheep farm.
