This was such an enjoyable, interesting & educational cruise.
I booked this cruise to use a Discover Voucher, & also to celebrate The Queen's Platinum Jubilee, having an Afternoon Tea.
I dressed up in Red, White & Blue, took salmon & cucumber sandwiches, Mr Kipling's British Cakes, some bunting & decorated a table for the occasion.
All of the ship's volunteers were very happy to accommodate me & impressed by my efforts.
Being a Newcastle local & very interested in the history, it was so interesting to listen to the crew's knowledge of the harbour, the coal ship's & general seafaring & merchant information.
I had a wonderful time.

Was lucky enough to enjoy a friend’s 30th birthday on William the Fourth last weekend (about 25 people), and I confidently speak for everyone in attendance when I say we all had the absolute best time! The crew were amazing, they let us blast our music, explore the whole ship, have a dance, took loads of great group photos for us. Honestly one of the most memorable party’s I’ve been to and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others. Huge thanks to the William the Fourth crew you are all legends!

Thoroughly enjoyable cruise. Given that the crew are all volunteers the knowledge of Newcastle was very informative. The morning tea absolutely delicious. My grandkids absolutely loved the trip. Very disappointing to find out they get no funding whatsoever from state government and especially zero assistance from Newcastle council.

Lucky enough to enjoy this cruise on the 12th march, same day as the high octane car race in Newcastle. What a blast.
And then....... the jet flyover .
Tugs doing donuts .. right in front and behind us.
William the fourth managed a donut as well.
It was magical
The crew were amazing... all volunteers.

I chartered William the Fourth for a birthday celebration and could not recommend it highly enough. The afternoon was perfect and exceeded my expectations. The crew of volunteers were excellent. They were friendly, knowledgeable, extremely accommodating and clearly passionate about the ship and showing people Newcastle Harbour.

We spent a lovely couple of hours cruising the harbour. Unlike other options the ship is available for charter by the hour and not on a per head basis, which was perfect for accommodating fluctuating guest numbers due to covid. Being able to cater yourself was great. All my guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Their only complaint was that I didn't put enough beer in the esky!

I'm really looking.forward to coming on one of the morning/afternoon tea cruises soon with some of my guests who had to isolate and missed the party.

We had a lovely morning tea cruise. The commentary was very interesting and we learnt a lot about the harbor. We'll definitely be back. If you haven't taken a cruise on the William the Fourth yet you should certainly try it out.
