Fantastic family night out, good sized boat, not overcrowded. The meal options were all tasty. From arrival at Oceanic Bar and Grill to the end, all staff were brilliant and very accommodating. Would highly recommend.

Highly recommend either solo, with kids or a friend. Beautiful day on the river, we saw Osprey and Dolphins and Bella and Dave were total legends. If you live in Perth or if you are visiting… there is so much to see! You’ll love it. REALLY fun day

The 90 minutes tour went so fast!
The tour alternates between fast segments at full speed for sensations and parts at low speed to enjoy the view and local faune. Guidance in English only but with lots of humour.
We were able to book online as the office can be close but everything was very smooth.
They provides windbreakers and caps if needed.

Amazing experience we saw so many whales! Baby whale calf’s with their big mother whale feeding and travelling together. They breached right next to the boat and we watched them flap their tails out of the water. Listening to the whales breath and how much air is inside these massive incredibly beautiful creatures was so special! Ruby Tran is a wonderful host, so informative and great fun to learn from. 10/10 would recommend this experience

I booked over the phone, which was easygoing and friendly. The 90 minutes tour over the Swan river was fantastic, and a highlight of our visit, my friend and I had the front seats and it was a beautiful day. We were lucky, seeing dolphins jumping, a black swan family with 6 ducklings and an osprey up high in a tree where we had a glimpse on the multi$$$ riverside homes. Small group boat, great shipper and mates, and informative where applicable. Thank you Wild West crew ?

Had a wonderful experience with Wild West Charters.
Dave was very accomodating and easy to contact during the booking process.
I booked through the website.
Had initially scheduled the earlier but due to bad weather Dave contacted me beforehand and gave me options to reschedule or refund entirely.

We set off 9am on the Sunday as soon as the weather cleared up.
The meeting place was easy to find: right in front of Kailis Seafood Restaurant.
Initially booked for a whale watching course, had the opportunity to see sealions and lobster fishing in action as a bonus.
We managed to see two whales on this occasion.

Other whale watching boaties that I saw from afar during the outing seemed to be packed full of people on the deck reaching out their arms above the crowd trying to snap a shot.
For comparison, Wild west charters our boat had a total of 10 people and it was quite easy to move around the deck, upper amd lower to find the right camera shot. Perhaps this is an area where wild west charters has a leg up above the other services.
The boat has an upper deck for you to head up and feel like a vip.

I recommend bringing a waterproof jacket just in case (Depending on wind and wave conditions, you may get some splashes).

All in all had a good time!

We took the 90 min, 1PM tour yesterday which was our last day in Perth. Phoebe (guide) and Tyler (captain) did such an excellent job that the tour became the best way to see a bit of the city of Perth, the beautiful quay, and amazing wild life.

We saw a family of lovely black swans. A huge flock of black and white gulls that happily engaged in a dance in the sky that was clearly prompted by Tyler’s boat driving expertise! There were brown and white jellyfish. I was even able to hold one and they are quite beautiful despite the less than impressive colors. There was a majestically perched pelican accompanied by some other feathered friend (I can’t think of the names of) and last but not least glimpses of Swan River dolphins (looked like a baby and momma).

Phoebe’s knowledge of the lore and engaging personality made her the perfect guide for us.

All the beautiful sailboats, the famous blue boat house, and the high class real estate were also packed expertly into this fast paced but relaxing 90 minutes. This tour is worth every penny and typically I avoid all touristy types of activities.

Captain Davie was so hospitable and welcoming to our group. Lots of knowledge to share and showed us a great time out on the water. Highly recommended. The complimentary jackets and beanies were needed !!!
