I had such an amazing experience with Whyalla Diving Services. I booked the tour and was welcomed by the lovely Ashley who made sure I was fitted well in my wetsuit and answered any questions I had! She was so informative and her bubbly presence made the tour extremely enjoyable.
If you’re a confident swimmer you could most definitely just hire gear and go out yourself. However it was nice to have the luxury of someone giving facts about the cuttlefish, and not having to worry about the wetsuit once we were finished in the water as Ashley look it with her.
The water was absolutely freezing, however you are suited with a body liner, wetsuit, hooded vest, socks, boots and gloves so once you get over the original shock of the water, the gear keeps you warm. We were in the water for about an hour and a half before it got too cold!
Definitely recommend booking a tour here, or even just hiring the gear! Lovely staff and very helpful.

We loved our guided snorkel tour. Happy, helpful, informative staff. I've never been in a wetsuit or used large flippers. All good fun! I can't believe how buoyant the wetsuits were 🙂
We were lucky with brilliant weather. Thoroughly enjoyed watching hundreds of cuttlefish, saw a ray, and successfully avoided a few jellyfish. Caught a few pics with our GoPro. The hot drinks at the end were much appreciated. Many thanks to all.

Knowledgeable, helpful staff who provided us with full scuba gear and maps and information on the dive sites. Lots of cuttlefish at Stoney Point as of 29 May.

One of my highlights of touring the Eyre Peninsula. Wonderful things to see, not far from the coast. Only 30 meters. Thick wetsuits so you don't get cold. Only early in the season and still saw plenty. The giant cuttlefish were so beautiful and changed colour In front of you. Great guide, highly recommend.Toilet at the site.

Did the cuttlefish snorkeling. They handled everything very well. They took care in making sure equipment fit. And they gave us enough that we didn't feel cold in the water, considering the temperature. Was an amazing experience we'll never forget.

Fantastic dive shop, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great equipment for hire, and for sale too. We had most of our own gear but still appreciated being able to hire extra things to make the cold water doable for us and the kids

We were booked to go on the cuttlefish glass bottom tour on the 9th of June, the long weekend, I have to say we were not disappointed, it was so informative to learn about the cuttlefish, we had Mannie and he was happy to answer any questions, I didn't want it to end, and they are happy to lend you a hand if you are unsure about going on the boat, such great team, so worth every penny, and can buy a coffee before you start, would I recommend it! yes highly!
