The food here is wonderful!

This is a great local bar, great for sports and decent beers. The chicken is gluten free and delightful.

The burgers are outstanding, cooked and seasoned well, the bun holds it all together and at a decent price point also. Very generous portion of lightly crispy fries also.

So far food has been consistently perfect. I had been there with a group of friends (8 of us) and all 8 of us finished all our food. Could had licked the plate clean and not had to be cleaned. Keep it up! This place is great to social and catch up.

A pub with good vibes, a wide selection of food and friendly staff, the White Cockatoo Hotel is located right next to the train station. It's quite clean, spacious and there is also a real cockatoo in the outdoor area! If you are around Petersham, and want to chill out or have a catch up with some friends - this is a nice place to be. Recommend👍

Beautiful fit-out, great menu, excellent music. Good selection of craft beer. Very family friendly with no pokies & colouring pencils/sheets.

White cockatoo in the beer garden is very friendly.

Gets busy around mealtimes on weekends - booking recommended for groups.

I moved back to Petersham and this pub was a decent factor in my choice. I already missed it and was then shocked with the pleasant realisation that there is now a beautiful cockatoo called Georgie that recides here and is often out saying hello (literally) especially during less busy times

The staff are all great , particularly the manager who is always happy to come and say hello and have a chat when he finds a minute. The ambience is great and hosts a variety in atmosphere

If I had to find one complaint, due to the pubs deserved popularity, if you go in times like a Saturday night, naturally it’s usually busy so food has taken a little longer a few times , nothing too bad though.

Overall this is my favourite pub and for good reason

I enjoyed my visit to White Cockatoo. I came on a Friday night and the pub was very busy. I liked the atmosphere and the set up of tables and benches. Despite the number of people, it was very clean, well kept and organised.

The food was good too. I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken. It was well cooked. The meat was succulent with a nice crsip coating. I had it with chips and salad. All elements ate well together. My meal and that of my friends were a good size.

Great buzz in the Hotel.
Wonderful and friendly staff.
Menu is extensive with lots of specials.
Parking is bit tricky as you have to find parking on street. Right at Petersham Railway Station.
