Having Wellington Events plan and coordinate our wedding was one of the best things ever.

My now wife and I had a clear vision of how we wanted our wedding to be; more than aesthetically, but also how we feel that day as a result of proper planning. We didn’t want the popularly talked about wedding stress that couples go through, and Wellington executed that — all the vendors reported to her, and she coordinated them to execute efficiently.

I am a fastidious and finicky person, so it takes above average to impress me. Wellington did. In all honestly, all my anxieties about how that day would go down dissipated on my wedding day. We didn’t lift a finger, complain or have to remind any to do anything.

Finally, she’s very experienced with vendors and can also recommend great vendors. It’s important for a planner.

I highly recommend Wellington Events for event planning and coordination.

We had a smooth and fun experience, from the planning phase to the execution. I am one who pays attention to detail and when I saw my moodboard, I knew that was it.

Wellington Events transparency is second to none. I never had issues with the rates shared because they sent the vendors rate cards (how many planners does that in today’s Nigeria?) and the way help in ensuring we get the best price was amazing.

We had the time of our life, our guests can’t stop talking about their experiences.

I have unfortunately had a very poor experience with Wellington and would advise any sensible person to avoid them.

They began politely but their payment policy is unreasonable. They want to be paid 70% upfront and 100% before they deliver both planning and coordination on the day which should be fishy.

I was unable to get them to accept some balance (about 10%) paid after the event.

Beware of sending any money to them before you agree on the contract or read their terms and conditions as all payments are non-refundable even when they do not do any work for you.

I gullibly paid 40% upfront as they packaged themselves well before agreeing on the contract.

They refused to refund my money only reluctantly agreeing to refund 50% since I refused to do business with someone that wants all the money paid before the event.

I found them to be inflexible and sneaky even in simple matters like even setting time to meet.

These people are thieves. Engage with them at your own risk. Other event planning agencies like Qmara are much more cooperative and transparent.

And you can see this passed on to her staff on the team. She has built a well organized structure where her Team handles events in a good capacity.

After reviewing multiple websites, my wife was drawn to Wellington Events because of her professional background and experience as well as the beautiful photos of so many events. Very very unprofessional! They took money without contract. Trying to enforce their plans for your own event, took 40% percent deposit for an event without a contract and then refused to return any part of the money.

From the very first meeting, Nelly made us to feel comfortable and at home with her. She is warm, yet professional. She made us feel like we were her biggest priority and most especially, thoroughly considered every preference that we had as well as our budget. She gave us her honest feedback on some (using her experience) and implemented the others. We were carried along every step of the journey without the pressure of having to carry out any of the tasks, which was such a relief. It was seamless and what I really appreciate is us getting the best deals and top notch services. On the d-day, every little detail was thought through and in place and the team was all over it.
