To put it simply you get what you pay for. I paid round about $110 for a pet friendly room. The girl who took the first call told me there was no pet friendly rooms available, but soon called me back to acknowledge her mistake and told me there was a room. She was very helpful even though it wasn’t her job to book people in. Room was acceptable, a but musty smelling and very old and tired. Bed was old but soft and comfortable, sheets were clean and free of any nastiness like other reviews say, I slept well all night. Yes, the place in dire need of attention but in modern days with rooms being twice the price for not much better I think people need to be a little less critical of this place.

I love the size of the room I was in. Plenty of room for my dog's bed that is always next to my bed. My bed was so comfortable. I slept through the night without waking which is very rare for me. The amenities are right across the back of the room. Toilet, vanity, change room then the shower. Heaps and heaps of room everywhere. The room was clean and tidy. I will be back to this motel.

If I could give no stars, I would.

Where to start? This place needs to be condemned. They assured me the room was wheelchair accessible; absolutely not. They changed the room, but no better. We took 34 photos of the horror. The photos on booking sites are a lie. Bed bugs. Mould. Dusty, filthy carpets. Mattresses need binning. Shower door fell off. Exposed electrical wires. It is beyond neglected. Their rates are way too high, in fact they should pay us to stay.
We left and went to motel close by that is $30 more, but my brother called it the Hilton in comparison.
If you value your health, do not stay at Wayfarer.

The filthiest, most appalling motel I've ever encountered in Australia, and worse than most experienced in any other country.||Assured me of wheelchair room; they don't have. Bathrooms crampy, rooms, tiny, bed bugs, filthy, everything broken, damaged. Still in shock. The story is longer but I hope our experience helps others avoid. From the outside it looks abandoned, we didn't see that as we arrived at night after 12 hours of driving. The next morning we got out and moved to a motel down the road; $30 more, but awesome. Totally different. |I waited to take a shower until the new motel because I just wanted to get away and feel clean.||This place needs condemning.|If you value your health, do not stay.

The young lady who checked me in was lovely but it ended there. There was a mob of children at the property who I think were connected to the owners/managers. They started yelling and screaming about 8pm. The motel is on a major road and I could hear the kids at the road, cars screeching and horns honking so I think they were playing on the road at 8pm. It then got worse. They ran around and around the property, screaming outside your door (there is very little noise insulation), lots of foul language. I tried calling the property multiple times from about 9pm through to 11pm but no-one would pick up (even though phone was being diverted). Also tried messaging via Booking.com app but no answer. The kids would run away for mins at a time, you would start to nod off and then they would be back.

Honestly I would have left but I would have had to sleep in my car in a town I don’t know so I decided to put up with it and just leave at daylight. I had a full day of driving ahead of me.

Rooms are very tired. Linen is threadbare (but clean). The gardens are overgrown and nothing looks like the photos.

Other reviews should have warned me. I actually think I accidentally chose the wrong place because I usually follow reviews.

It’s so bad we are leaving without staying the night. Our fault for not reading the reviews. Pulled back the sheets and put my torch on them. Some kind of insect shit hard balls like cockroach shit. Hair from other people and weird stains

First of all the room we was given the aircon didn't work.
Then there was a massive group of Lebs who was yelling from my room which was down one end to the other end at 1pm..
The place needed a make over.
The 2nd room was just as bad.
Power points was just hanging danger's for whoever is staying in the rooms.
Then the owner's kids keep riding there bikes/Scooters around all day just staring at everyone
Then the pillows was thin as a pancake breakfast.
Then it doesn't look anything like The photos on the internet.
I was talking to the man next door and he also said he would never return

i would not recommend staying in this motel. staff were lovely but the condition of the rooms was beyond acceptable. TV didn't work which they offered to change rooms but declined. one light above the main bed didn't work airconditiiner was fithly was surprised it passed inspection. the walls are thin and the person next to my room fell asleep and left his tv on all night, hence I didn't have an ounce of sleep. Hot water had to run for a long time before it turned hot. Grounds were unkept and the exit to the place was barricaded so you could only go out the entrance.
