We Freedived with seals at Narooma on a weekend two day experience lead by Waterlogged Freedivers. We found the team to be well organised, encouraging and safe. It was an adventurous experience and held out of Narooma marina boating out to Montague Island.

Matt from Waterlogged is an exceptional instructor. He intuitively knows what kind of support a guest/student needs and he’s able to flex styles effortlessly. He shows incredible compassion and patience towards students and is one of the most trustworthy freediving instructors I’ve come across in the industry. I’d feel 100% confident putting my safety in his hands.

I completed the level 1 Freediving course with Waterlogged Freedivers recently and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Matt creates a friendly, relaxed, comfortable and safe space to learn both theory and practical aspect of freediving.
The course is run in the most beautiful parts of the south coast and we even had dolphin swim past!

Had the most amazing weekend swimming/diving with the gorgeous seals with the team from Waterlogged. The trip was so well organised, I snorkelled but now have a taste of free diving which I will pursue! Professional and very fun bunch of people. Thanks for the best time in and out of the water and those cute and curious seals that love to play, we also saw bull rays, Port Jackson’s, large sea turtle and Wobbegongs 🦭 highly recommend this crew for a fantastic experience.

I had an awesome few days doing the wave one course with Matt, Kirsty and the waterlogged crew. It always felt safe and comfortable in the water with professional and friendly instructors that are only too happy to hear you out and work with you at your skill level. These guys deliver all the knowledge in a super relaxed environment with plenty of stories and good times! No matter what your reason for jumping in the water they’ll have you covered 🤘🏼

Introductory (1-day) class was fantastic. I took the class to improve my spearfishing skills and safety. Matt coached us through a good mix of breatholding/free diving theory before we jumped I the water for the practical component. Class included people with no experience at all, people wanting to improve spearfishing, beginners interested in free diving, and surfers wanting to improve breath hold. There was a good mix of locals and out-of-towners like me. Thick open-cell wetsuits can be hired and these are very warm - so comfort in cold water isn’t a problem. Matt really knows his stuff - i felt like there was no such thing as a dumb question. We weren’t operating in deep water for this class, and there is no expectations regarding experience or how long you can hold your breath. If you have always wanted to try it, this is a safe way to break out of the comfort zone. Give it a try! - Mark

I never tried freediving before, but thought i would give it a go. I'm glad I did.
First half of the day was learning information related to breathing and holding your breath, second half was in the ocean practicing what we just learn't. I would highly recommend this to beginners or intermediates, our instructor Matt was great and helped us at every stage.
