Nice food variety with Aussie & S.E. Asian dishes. Generous portion.

We ordered:
Honey Chicken with rice
Short soup
Special fried rice
Prawn Laksa
Wangi Burger

We were disappointed with the Wangi Burger which we found a piece of plastic inside the beef patty! The taste was good without gamey flavour.
The rest of our dishes were good though.

We went for the Thursday special which we'd heard was $13 steak night. The special was pork baked dinner so we ordered 2 chicken burgers and 1 chicken schnitzel. Both with chips. The burgers and chips were cold, the chicken had been deep fried and the cheese was the only stand out flavour. The schnitzel meal was 2 deep fried schnitzels and a handful of lukewarm chips with a small cup of gravy. The meals were beige in colour and in taste.

Even though the club has had extensive renovations since we last went there 5+ years ago, nothing has changed with food and service. The Bistro was under renovations when we went, and there was a pop-up eatery functioning. Food was about as good as McDonald's. I ordered a chicken schnitzel, hubby ordered crumbed prawn cutlets. It might take us another 5+ years to return.

Great location, relaxed atmosphere, dining room has huge picture windows giving lovely water views. Reasonable prices for generous sized Asian and Australian meals.

Good local club for meals or a drink. Serves both Australian and Asian food. Runs regular raffles. Has an adjoining cafe which is really good for breakfast. Saturday mornings can be busy but lovely having breakfast by the lake. Lovely view
