Disappointed we called prior to confirm it was dog friendly and told yes, to arrive 15mins later just after 3pm and told given the cafe isn't open they can't open a gate and we can't enter.
Was provided the alternative to walkaround the outer perimeter and just buy a take away and sit out in the public park. No thanks. Promptly left and suggested they coordinate their messaging over the phone

Not a family friendly venue.
Julie from the bar was rude and confrontation. They have a large room with dance floor and stage. There was only one other family in this room having dinner. They also had kids enjoying the dance floor. We were told the kids can’t dance on the dance floor, because it’s not a special event night. The kids must remain seated the entire time. There is a gate with a lock to prevent access to the dance floor. The gate was not locked, and our 2-year-old could open it. According to Julie if the latch is closed that’s locked. Something can be closed but not locked, Julie had a problem understanding this concept. I think if a 2 year can open it then its not locked. Attached picture which clearly shows a key is required to lock the gate. Over the course of the night Julie harassed us three times about the kids which were only trying to have fun on the dance floor. No other guest had a problem with us because there was no else there but for that other family. This was not my only problem with Julie, when I went to the bar I ordered two drinks. A kid’s soft drink and a beer. They had a promotion on which was you purchase a steak, and it comes with your choice of beer, wine or soft drink. Of course, a kids soft drink is cheaper then the beer. Julie insisted I pay for the beer when I had already paid for it when I purchased the steak. She claimed you only get the cheaper drink off. This is not what’s advertised, it said it was my choice of beer, wine or soft drink. After a brief disagreement, I paid for the beer, something I regret now. I don’t go out for dinner to argue with low life rude staff, who needs the stress. Better to just stay home and cook for myself and family.

Amazing view of Lake Macquarie. Great food and staff. No outside areas unfortunately (hence only four stars) other than a small smokers area.
Highly recommended.

Very disappointed to visit the club as a member hoping to enjoy a members special meal as advertised on their website to be told that the special isn't on as renovations are happening. Should be updated on website. The meal is still available exactly the same but $9.00 dearer, dont get it. The cashiers excuse was the Reno, please explain?
