Most of the staff were really unpleasant. The food is overpriced. $34-$37 for pasta at a pub seems a bit outrageous to me when you can get homemade high quality stuff for less at a decent Italian restaurant. Pizzas were excessively greasy. Raspberry and Lychee cocktail was gross. Mango daiquiri and the nice courtyard area were the highlights. My drink also got swiped away the moment I set it down. It doesn’t hurt to just ask if someone is done with their beverage and being friendly and attentive is really not that difficult in hospo.

Good location for easy access to Adelaide Hills. About 30 minute drive from there to Hahndorf.

Rooms were clean and modern and spacious. Only issue was hot water cutting out when other guests were using it. Also there was no hot water on Sunday when most guests were checking out.

Poor customer service from the guy behind the bar today (11/11 @ 2pm). Just plain rude and when gave feedback about a cocktail, didn’t stop defending himself until I had to walk away. I was simply telling him it was not very pleasant and there was no raspberry or lychee taste to it and that the lime was too overpowering and the rind wasn’t very nice in it. Two nights before we were there also and he didn’t give off any better vibe. Visiting the area but will definitely not go back.

12 of us had lunch for my mother's 85th birthday today. The service was quick attentive and professional. Things like serving the kids meals first, and then serving the adults all together really makes a difference. They brought our cake out when asked and gave us everything we needed. Good food, reasonable prices, lots of indoor and outdoor seating options.

The food was good, not great, but good. The service was terrible. It was meant to be table service, but found ourselves having to constantly chase staff to get service. It was not busy when we were there and the staff looked bored and were not attentive. Only one gentleman behind the bar showed a smile and provided friendly service. Not on the top of my list to return

Male bartender with balding crown seems to not care whatsoever. I ordered a drink. He asked me to walk the entire length of the bar to get it and pay. Is it that difficult to serve me where I'm standing at the bar. Before he put my drink down he turned away and didn't say thank you or anything. Just felt very rude and unpleasant. It's nice to be nice. The surface of your scalp is more bald than hairy. Consider shaving it and save on gel for those bits of fringe you're spiking

We came here for dinner as a group, we booked in for 530 but the time all of us got there it was more so 630, they didn’t seem to mind we were a bit late. We sat down, and they asked if we were ready to order some drinks, we proceeded to ask and they go you need to go to the bar for that.. um so why ask? We then go to start ordering our meals. It’s table service…. Ok great you could have let us know earlier…
The food got delivered quit quickly the steak sandwich was good, but needed more sauce, we got Diane sauce on the side and that was a let down unfortunately.. everyone seemed to enjoy their food. You sometimes had to chase down a waitress. I had to find someone for my daughter’s icecream and activity pack, which they had run out of but still gave us some paper and pencils.
Coffees aren’t their strong point, I ordered a long black for my partner and they gave us a mug not what a long black is, was weak and lacked flavour…
So here is my disappointment… it was about 8:30 at this point, my husband went to change our baby, as he leaves the room, in that time they must have locked the doors to get back into the dining room, he tried to go back in but couldnt, so he tried to find some help and his only option was the gaming room, the staff member was extremely rude and said you can’t come in here and was ready for a fight, my husband could barley get a word in a said if you could stop talking a let me ask you something, I’m trying to get back into the dining room, I’m sorry that’s for a private function, but I just came from
There, my friends are in that room, I have to go back there, she wasn’t willing to help, but after my husband persisted she agreed to let him back in the dining room.. we know the rules it wasn’t like my husband was going to sit on the pokies and let my 10 month old press buttons, it was really rude and frustrating how that all happened. It’s very rare we go out at night this was a special occasion, maybe stop before you attack someone with a baby and nappy bag attached and ask if they need help,

Food was killer got 2 different cocktail jugs and a chicken schnitzel, disappointed as heck for the fact I had to wait from start to finish 30 minutes for a cocktail jub just standing at the bar… Saturday night during crows vs power doesn’t seem suitable having 1 guy who can only make cocktails. He was backed up 5-6 people and the guy making them loved grabbing everything with his hands and never saw him wash them once lemon, alcohol bottles, utensils I can’t imagine the spread of germs from him.

Go up
