A few years I met Bernie when she was running some wonderful off the beaten track private walks around Melbourne that showed off both the street art and contemporary gallery scene that, even though I lived there, I wouldn’t have found on my own. On the basis of these walks that both I and various overseas visitors enjoyed, I subsequently joined Bernie for a curated 6 day visit to the Venice Biennale in October 2017. I really enjoyed that event too. The overall group size was small (about 12 or 14 I think) and the places we visited had been researched by her beforehand and so we received another personally curated tour but didn’t miss anything we needed to see. I also like the fact that the touring of the art rarely took more than three hours leaving plenty of time for other activities depending on preferences. I am hoping Bernie starts up some more of these tours as I would love to join either another one in Venice or in NYC or Japan. Bernie’s style is relaxed and friendly and she also really knows her stuff and always has
some thought provoking anecdotes to make you think about the art and the artist in different ways.

My wife and I just spent several fun and fascinating hours with Bernadette on a walking tour of off-the-beaten-track art galleries. Bernadette is amazingly knowledgable and personable, and she knows and loves her city. She definitely found a series of galleries and art spaces a visitor (or even most locals) could find on their own. We saw a huge variety of contemporary artists in amazing spaces - it was really an amazing tour. Bernadette also gave us a whole list of things to do and restaurants to visit to help us make the most of our time in the city.
