Couldn't speak highly enough of this Hostel!! The location is brilliant, it's always kept very clean as they tidy the rooms everyday. The events are brilliant! The staff are the best part of the hostel and the main reason to stay. Whether they're on shift or not, the staff are always hanging around the hostel and try to make everyone feel at home. A special mention to Archie and James who made my experience even better, and helped to make a good day a great one!

I stayed here a week and I see:

Pros:
- Friendly staffs.
- They have some good and fun events like Bingo night, Rooftop Yoga, Beach walk.
- Free surfboard.
- Free and good internet all day long, and they don't charge you like other hostels.

Cons:
- They CHARGED me full payment (1 week) as deposit when I made a booking on their website, even though their website says they won't charge anything until I check-in. It's different from other hostels I stayed before as they won't charge anything before check-in. So I think their website should be clear about they what they say on their website and what they actually do.
- There's NO LIFT. So I had to carry my heavy bags upstairs. This is really terrible as I see most hostels I stayed before they all have lifts.
- There's NO storage LOCKER in my room. I heard people in the other rooms said they had it in their rooms. So when I asked the reception they said some rooms don't have it.
- The view (via windows) inside my room is not as beautiful as the ones on their website. I cannot see anything except the wall of opposite building. Only the view at the reception and rooftop is beautiful that you can see the whole beach view.

Hope they improve it, especially the LIFT.

Very social hostel. If you're very outgoing, you will thrive here. It was a bit too social for my liking (as someone who isn't very outgoing with loud people). Activities are run daily (didn't do any as I was there 1 night). I got a sea front room and got a bunk by the window. The others here were messy with clothes everywhere (I think they were long term or there for a few weeks). An expensive hostel but I can see others finding it value for money

Had an excellent experience with the Wake up Bondi team during my long term stay. I had an amazing time going to the events especially the wine and cheese hosted by Jemima and James.

Would definitely come back here again!

Had such an amazing stay at WakeUp! We had a 6 man dorm which was lovely, good space and lockers were a nice size. The activities were so much fun and they had so much variety each day! A big highlight was the bingo night, it was so much fun and we had the best night! We also did the Coogee to Bondi walk and our rep was Bella, she was so good (Considering we did it in the pouring rain and the group lost 75% of members to Westfield🤣)! So big shout out to her!!

Great hostel, the staff is really friendly and attentive to our well-being. The accommodations are very clean. Also very easy to connect with other people! I recommend! The only downside would be to add curtains for more privacy 🙂

I love this place, i booked for one week and was supposed to go up the east coast after, but this hostel made me change my mind. I’ve stayed here for 4 weeks now and I can’t leave because I love it too much. They host activities every night and it brings everyone together. If you have the luck to come here while the staff called Johanna is still working there then I can absolutely guarantee that you will have a great time and love this place <3

I had a great time here and made some good memories. First night Tav and Sonny did an amazing job with wine and cheese night. They came around to all the rooms with a speaker to hype people up and invite them up. I really appreciated the energy they brought to the table.

The outdoor rooftop area is really cool with a nice view. Then there is an indoor spot as well to chill on the top floor, but sadly it closes at 10pm.

Bathrooms were clean even with all the craziness that happens with hostel life.

I would recommend.
