Had a lovely meal here with a group of 26 ladies. Service was friendly and efficient. Parking was a bit tricky to find, but we managed thanks to most travelling on a small bus. The food was tasty and came out quite quickly considering the number of us. I might have liked a little more meat with my roast, but it was a reasonable portion for a seniors menu.

Here for lunch.
Midweek the dining room was quiet. 7 of us were seated quickly and comfortably.
No waiter/ waitress service. Order drinks and food at the bar or via an app.
The Lambs Fry and Beef Cheeks were well liked. The Pork Roast was described as a bit tough. My Kangaroo was dry, tough and overcooked, served well done. Kangaroo should be rare, certainly have pink in the inside. The dining knife was barely sufficient to cut the meat. I considered asking for a steak knife.
It came with Jus and mashed potatoes. The Jus was not very flavourful but relieved the dryness of the meat. The food needed more seasoning, I could not find cracked black pepper, settled for the salt and pepper shakers on the table.
No one had a bad meal, mine was not a great meal.

Great casual dinner here for my sons birthday. Excellent food and fantastic service, great vibe and friendly staff. Fantastic to find a place with all the classic pub favourites where the vegan in our group (the birthday boy) also had lots of options too, even a delicious vegan dessert. Perfect for families, everyone well catered for.

Fantastic staff bent over backwards to make our lunch time meal experience than welcoming. Food was fantastic. Eating outside on beautiful sunny day was great Officially . Would highly recommend.

Our Sunday family lunch was excellent. Food choices, quality and prices were fantastic. Bistro Pond area was clean, fresh and bright and the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely will be back again soon.

Met friends for lunch on Anzac Day. The hotel overlooks a beautiful park in Strathalbyn, such a lovely spot. The hotel is lovely, still has its heritage charm and has a new area out the back. The food was really nice, I had the mushroom gnocchi with spinach and a cauliflower purée which as a vegetarian totally recommend. Will return.

Superb crumbed fish and chips.
This 160 year old dining establishment is extensive with provisions also furniture are nicely distributed throughout the venue.
They erred the fish and chips as it was battered as I requested crumbed as they repaired the mistake quickly in a friendly manner

First time visiting at your venue and what a great experience. Food was to die for and the service was excellent, made even better by an awesome barperson named Jade. She was exceptional. Special accolades to Jade and the rest of the staff for making our experience so good. We will definitely be back.
