I had been wanting to check out Urban Heartbeat for a while and when Hong Kong popped up on the website, the itinerary looked so good, I couldn’t pass it up. It was the best decision - I truly had an incredible time. Steven’s extensive knowledge and love of travel, good food and new experiences is obvious from your very first contact point all the way to end of the trip. This makes Urban Heartbeat an excellent balance of all the best things: 1. Fun activities and a good amount of free time; 2. Interesting fitness options = more opportunity for having seconds at every delicious meal; 3. Immersion in the local way of life and checking out some more touristy spots. It was also really delightful to have the fantastic accommodation sorted, as well as all the double decker tram and airport train tickets sorted. On that note, it’s also worth checking out the podcast which highlights Steven’s warm personality and travel skills!

I visited Hong Kong with Urban Heartbeat in 2019. I usually prefer to do self-guided travel as most companies and tour guides can feel like they're doing things 'by the numbers'. But I LOVED this trip. First of all Steven is a fantastic, warm and personable guy who you can't not get along with. He was chatting to everyone like we were old friends. He's super knowledgeable, showing us a fantastic mix of big sights that people want to see and hidden gems, and he was also also able to answer a lot of random questions about things from restaurants/bars, to culture and history etc. Whilst there was a structure to the trip there was also flexibility and Steven gave us options for different things we might like to see or do outside of what was scheduled. Finally, I can't not mention the fitness aspect of the trip - the part where you earn all the delicious food you'll eat! What I loved was the variety of activities. We did yoga, hiking and a group fitness class by the river so there was a lot of variety and it catered to all levels of fitness. I'm definitely considering taking another Urban Heartbeat trip again in future.

In 2019 I was lucky to secure the last spot on the sold out fitness trip to LA with Urban Heartbeat. Steven our host was incredible. His local knowledge of LA was really impressive. Steven put together an unforgettable itinerary that included off the beaten track unique experiences only a local would know…. we visited rooftop bars where only celebs would want to be seen, hiked around the Hollywood sign with gorgeous views over the city, had beach yoga classes at Newport Beach, stand up paddle boarding in Santa Barbara, and Steven even hooked us up a spot at the members only Soul Cycle for a class. Hats off to Steven who was the warmest, kindest and fun guide Ive had! Thanks Urban Heartbeat, can’t wait for more trips!!!
