Touring the neighborhoods with Maria showed us so much more of Sydney’s character than the Hop On bus (I would actually suggest both tours). With Maria’s tour we discovered places we would never have seen & seeing it through a local lens is the kind of experience you hope for but usually only get when you have family or friends living in that city. My son is 20, and while we had wonderful daily experiences in Sydney including the Bridge Climb, an evening at Sydney Opera House, a boat tour, the Hop On/Hop Off tour and Blue Mountain tour, Maria’s Boho tour was my son’s favorite. It felt most authentic, and her personal flare provided excellent insight to all that Sydney offers!

Do yourself a favor and take this tour early in your trip. Maria is an excellent host who provides insightful commentary as she takes you through the various neighborhoods and explains how they are connected but also highlights what makes them unique. Maria is very personable and her love for her city is evident. There is a good amount of walking involved and some driving so if you’re not up to that, this tour probably isn’t for you. Walking and being out among the locals is what made this an authentic experience and that is what I came to Sydney for so I was not disappointed. Finally, it was great meeting the others in my group and spending time with these wonderful people also enhanced my experience. I hope you have as good an experience as I did. Thank you Maria!

I had a wonderful day with Maria and Mani last Saturday. It turned out to be a private tour which gave us the flexibility to go to places I knew less well. It was a perfect way to spend a Saturday in Sydney, with an ideal mix of walking and driving. The tour, while long (7 hours), flew by as Maria has it perfectly timed to break up the day with stops for coffee, lunch, ice-cream (Messina!) and ending up in a brewery. Coffee, ice-cream and beer all included as part of the tour cost. I discovered places i never would have found on my own and enjoyed getting to know different neighbourhoods including Ultimo, Chippendale, Glebe, Paddington, Surrey Hills, Alexandria and Newtown. Maria and Mani are very knowledgeable and answered my many random questions. We went into galleries, hotels, markets, amazing buildings, restaurants etc. Many of which I will go back to. Its a great idea to do this tour early on during your trip to Sydney once you have all the main CBD sites and Bondi etc covered. It gives you the feeling for the real Sydney. Its a unique tour and different tour in all the good ways. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.

The BOHO BLITZ tour was an amazing experience. Maria, the guide, is an expert on Sydney. We visited a variety of neighborhoods and I felt like I was able to get a local’s perspective on the city. We walked a fair amount and we were also able to jump in her tour van to cover more ground than would be possible with just walking, especially given the public transportation in Sydney. 5 stars and I would absolutely take the tour again!

This is the hands down best urban tour around Sydney one can get. It kicked off in the morning and lasted for seven hours, so was a great way to spend our weekend. Maria showed us around CBD, harbour, Paddington, Newtown and other treasure-filled areas of Sydney. We stumbled upon multiple murals, cozy coffee shops and bakeries, I jotted down the addresses and names of the spots to make sure I'll come back. I now know where to grab the best brekkie on a lazy Sunday morning or to shop some retro styled clothes and accessories at a hidden local market. Hope Maria doesn't mind me taking my parents and visitors on a similar tour now because I feel like this is what everyone must see when they come to Sydney and want to grasp it all in no time.

Maria is exceptionally knowledgeable about the city and she has a plethora of places to visit if you are new to Sydney. My only regret was that I didn't do this tour at the embryonic stages of my relatively short stay in Sydney. Thanks again Maria!
