The guides were professional & unrelenting in finding the BIG 5 for us up close & keeping us safe. Capetown & Victoria Falls were beyond amazing. Namibia was adventuring down the Chobe River in all its glory, animals everywhere & beautiful sunrises & sunsets. UNTAMED SAFARIS - SIMPLY OUTSTANDING.
Our family group of 2 adult couples booked our 15 day African safari holiday with Untamed Safaris. Wow, what a good decision. The accommodation, the food, 8 safari drives over the four days in Simbavati Private Reserve were simply outstanding. We saw 'the big 5' (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rinoserous) all in one day and saw each of them regularly durng our two daily safari drives. Also saw cheetah and hard to find African Wild Dogs - hence we saw the 'Magnificent 7' Also saw giraffe, hippos, various species of antelopes and much more.
We then flew to Cape Town where our V&A waterfront luxury accommodation at was so enjoyable. We visited the beautiful wine region only an hours drive from the city.
From Cape Town we travelled to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, to experience one of the 7 natural wonders of the world.
We finished our Untamed Safaris trip travelling to Chobe National Park staying in a beautiful lodge which had a real African theme decor. The lodge was on the Nambian side of the river which separates Nambia and Botswana. We enjoyed sunrise, middle day and sunset cruises on the river where we saw many elephants, lions, baboons, hippos, other African animals and many many species of birds.
Every aspect of our holiday was perfect. The accommodation, included meals, vehicle and boat Safaris, internal flights and transfers was all part of our package.

We have just returned from the trip of a lifetime! Ryan from Untamed Safaris arranged a marvelous introduction to Africa for us. We embarked on the 12 day introduction to Kenya and Tanzania followed by 3 days in Zanzibar. We cannot speak highly enough of this tour and the company. The trip was exceptional. We may have been very lucky but saw “ THE BIG5” by day 3 but every day held something new and amazing. Our guides were both excellent. Accommodation was brilliant.
I can highly recommend booking with Untamed Safaris. We will be heading to Africa again in 2025 and will use Ryan again.

Had a wonderful trip to Tanzania arranged by Ryan from Untamed Safaris. It was so smooth all the way and the accommodation, food and guides from the 5 sites across Tanzania ( just out side Arusha, Tarangire National Forest, Ngorongoro Crater, Central and then Northern Serengeti) with Lemala were all simply superb - it was luxury all the way!!. At every step and transfer there were no delays (I had the huge advantage of having the little plane transfers between camp sites arranged by Ryan and the only thing to bear in mind is that those little plane flights (Auric Air) may depart within any half hour to an hour, either side of the initial departure time! But the Lemala site and your assigned guide manage all of that for you. I want to highly recommend Ryan, untamed safaris and Lemala for just the best trip I think I have ever had! I am a keen photographer (not good, just keen!) and that was so well supported throughout - the guides were all fantastic. I travelled in early November - just off season and the short rains had started but did not affect any part of travel or being out on safari. My advice from my experience - if you are thinking about it... go.

t’s hats off to Ryan and Untamed Safaris for seamlessly providing an outstanding mix of incredible sights, amazing experiences and flawless travel arrangements during our October trip to South Africa and Zimbabwe. Luxury train travel on the privately owned Rovos Rail from Cape Town to Pretoria was the stuff of romance writers. Formal wear for dinner was mandatory but added to the experience of fine dining in classically restored carriages and cuisine that matched the ambience created by an exquisite setting.
Victoria Falls, a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River to watch Hippos at play and crocodiles taking the last rays of the sun on the bank - just a taste of what this magnificent location has to offer. Hwange National Park was at its driest and cruelest as far as scant vegetation and dwindling water holes were concerned but this ensured animals did make it a morning and evening stop - also easier to spot in the undergrowth.
Experienced and knowledgable guides at both Bomani and Nehimba Lodges ensured our game drives yielded every animal we had hoped to see, including the hard to sight Leopard and flighty Cheetah. A walk with Rhinos has to be experienced to be believed.
It’s obvious Ryan only deals with the best with a sole aim of providing Safari tour participants with a safe, value-for-money, unforgettable experience. While plenty of animals are able to be photographed with mobile phones we found a Canon SLR fitted with a 75x300 lense captured an absolute catalogue of amazing images. Another tip - take a supply of US dollars! My partner and I absolutely loved the entire foray into this amazing country and we highly recommend Untamed Safaris.
