We visited in October, flowers not out yet. Doesn't take long to walk down steps, just a few minutes. Some good photo opportunities. Found a wee fairy, keep an eye out for it, if you have kids.
Plenty parking above and a short walk through park.
Suitable for able-bodied people, we are in our 60's.

A beautiful sinkhole basically in the centre of the city. The place was a bit smaller than we expected but was a lovely showcase of flora nonetheless. Feeding the possums at night was definitely a highlight - bring apples or small fruits if visiting in the evening!

Beautiful garden inside a park. Ample parking nearby. Very well maintained. There's staircase to go down right to the bottom of the sinkhole. There's cave there where we saw a possum and it's baby. There's a lot of active bees buzzing around. Good to take photos here. Not busy so it's quite relaxing to come here.

What a great place to spend the afternoon! There was no entrance fee.
The sinkhole were full of tourists and possums, which made the place feel alive. There was a little play area for the little ones, which had 2 sets of swings. Definitely worth a visit when you're in Mt Gambier!

Umpherstons Sinkhole is so iconic - I saw it in a book first and was amazed by the beauty of the image, but it is even more special in person.

There are beautiful blooms and trailing vines surrounding you as you gaze up from the ground, and small caves which you can explore.

It is an absolutely lovely place for photos, and for all those who appreciate beauty.

It is honestly a crime to come to this area and not visit Umpherston Sinkhole!

Amazing, In the middle of town, some old grand colonial guy thought it was a good idea to build his wife a Victorian garden in the sinkhole. Now a days the walls are covered with bees and beeswax and funnelweb spiders
