Hidden gem in the backcountry. Don't be afraid to go there. You will reach your destination in any kind of vehicle, even though you will question yourself multiple times if you are still on the right path. Good bathing experience with a mixture of sun and shadow. Even a swing is there!

A must do waterfall experience! Great cool swimming spot. Quite a deep pool and can sit under the fall itself.

A magnificent swimming hole in front of the Falls; however, it can be extremely dangerous in climbing down to the water.
The information centre should not be recommending this place for tourists to go to, without a qualification as to the dangers and the poorly signposted route and limited parking suitable only for 4wd. The actual falls are up the hill above the car park and not below. Muddy, slippery no real track. I was there in June 2023.

Very good gravel road all the way to the falls. Had no issue getting here in a LWB sprinter. Nice short walk to the falls but it’s pretty steep and slippery up and down. Beautiful pool and waterfall. Had fun on the rope swing

EDIT: After cyclone jasper the plunge pool is now full of silt and you can’t swim in it and the road has been badly damaged and now a 4WD is required

Rough road going in, 4WD definitely required. Wasn't sure if it existed since the signs were all homemade, not the normal touristy signs but worth the journey in and the little trek to the falls itself.

Beautiful waterfall about 30kms south of Cooktown.. drove there a few years ago and the last couple kms was a 4x4 track, this time the road was smooth and no dramas at all.. was a great waterfall with an awesome swimming hole. Just be careful on the walking track down. Well worth a visit.
