My son has been using special needs transportation since kindergarten and they’re great except a few factors! There times are all over the place they either show up way to early or to late first day back at the beginning of this year they showed up 20 minutes past 7 which is way to early as I was told a quarter to 8. Also last year or year before can’t remember which one exactly I was informed that my ASD3 and ADHD son was constantly moving round the bus attacking people or something like that etc… they informed us they had also spoken to the school, when my partner spoke with the school they said to him that they didn’t know what the driver and carer were talking about! I was almost ready to put measures in place for my youngest to stay in his seat. When the school responded with they didn’t know what they were talking about magically a week after we were informed, “There were no more issues!” To be honest I don’t think there were any to begin with! Also my son has a habit as an ASD kid to leave going to the toilet to the last minute starts dancing etc, well this morning I had to run him back inside to go to the toilet, it was a quarter to eight I stood outside waiting for the bus and for him to come back outside, don’t know if the driver was in a mood or what but angrily yelling out at me is not going to make my child go to the toilet any faster and if I didn’t let him go he was guaranteed to wet himself! Also I have had them wait longer to get him dressed when I have woken up late due to forgetting to set an alarm and they didn’t leave until 5 minutes to 8! I think they can wait 30 seconds to a minute for him to go to the toilet! Apart from that they don’t seem to realise that they are taking on board kids with ASD or ADHD or in my sons case both as I get questioned a lot, “ What’s wrong with him etc.” When he’s in a mood your best bet when his cranky or a little upset is to let him be because it sets him off further I know it’s polite in most circumstances to say hello etc but on those days let him calm down first! He likes car and bus rides generally so a bit into the journey he normally calms down but not always guaranteed! I honestly think it would do these guys a favour to watch a few videos on certain behaviours in kids that have these conditions and better ways to respond to not only the kids but better ways to respond to the already anxiety induced stressed out parents or parent that are being judged most days or ignored when they try to explain their position! Apart from that they are pretty good the best driver Issac had was the very first driver he had

Excellent help from the team at Lost Property. Friday afternoon (21/2), with 15 minutes until close, the lovely lady helped find my daughters lost clothes. She went above and beyond following my appalling description of the items.
Thank you.

Lost my wallet on the bus and they had found it by COB. Form was easy to fill out and I was able to pick it up at 8am the next day. The staff were very nice

Friendly and helpful people here. A great service, which has made it easy to collect things which I or the kids have left on the bus. It always feels so amazing to get back expensive, precious, or hard-to-replace items that I won't even complain about having to go all the way down to Tuggers.

Transport Canberra is generally good all except the 71 bus. Always late or never shows up and you'd think transport canberra would fix this. It's been this, way for a couple years now and im late to work again. Thanks transport canberra.

Left a cheaper looking headset on one of the last stops of the R4 Mysteriously disappeared.
Filled the form and called the next day, they said call back as they didn't receive a post from Belconnen. Called a week later and they couldn't find it.
They don't have any further information they provide over the phone other than - they don't have it and it's one you. No email back saying they don't have it, no further steps.

They mentioned the bus drivers are meant to do a run through the bus at the end, but sometimes they just don't do that and do a Double shift.

Opening hours are extremely annoying 8-4 Monday to Friday. It's extremely difficult to find time to go there.

My takeaway, if you lose an item. It's on you
If you're a bus driver, you can take items left behind and there is no process to investigate.

My son left his sport bag on the 66 bus. He was devastated and so was I. I left a message on the lost property phone no. The school sent an email as well. The following day i was called with great news, items had been found and even better they were delivered back to the school for my son to collect from the front office. THANK YOU for your KINDNESS, COMMUNICATION, EFFICIENCY AND EXCELLENT SERVICE.

Opening hours Monday to Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. It is really difficult to make time to get there. It is also too far away from people living on the north side. I've decided not to get my things back.
But anyway thanks for the staff.
