We've been coming here for the last few days, and everything was going great. The pints are around 10-13$, and the food is very good. I ordered nachos, that were EXCELLENT, in flavour and size, really good. The same as a TBH burger. But today I ordered buttered fish and chips, it cost me 25$, and the portion was small and nothing outside of the ordinary.
In summary, the place is very nice, the atmosphere is great, and the drinks too. If you are going to order food, I suggest nachos and NOT going for the fish and chips.
The bartenders and people working here are very polite and friendly.

Portion size of salad ordered was great and not at all lacking. Plenty of space to talk and catch up with friends over food and drinks. Playground and friendly atmosphere for kids too. Accessible entry was great to take my pram inside too, without issue.

Drinks that are not on tap take a while and aren’t always the best.

Baby change room is incredibly small though, and will only fit one adult and one baby/child.

Choose seating wisely if you have chips. Seagulls are eager for a snack and will pester you throughout your meal.

We always ate here while attending appointments in Wollongong. We went Tuesday night and we were blown away at how bad the food was. Admittedly I ordered a snitty for myself and I’m sure they either cooked it a microwave or boiled the chicken first. I could not eat it. Salad bland asked for dressing what I was given I just couldn’t say I have never tasted something so bitter. My husband always order prawn linguine and once again it was really bad. Have new owners bought the pub? So sad it was a great pub but unfortunately you have lost us as customers.

My partner and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here. We hired the Obar room and we were really impressed with the affordable prices and the presentation of the room.

The staff were all so helpful and attentive and we want to say a HUGE thank you to Greta and Chloe. You were both so great and we really appreciate all your help.

I highly recommend! We had so many people comment on how beautiful the venue was.

The on site accommodation was also helpful for my family to stay.

I came here on the weekend for lunch with a group of friends. I had the hummus and turkish bread starter which was very bland with no seasoning. My friend paid $25 for two miniscule pieces of fish with a plate of very uninspiring french fries. I ordered a drink and was given a number for them to bring it to the table even though the bar staff were standing around and not serving anyone. I waited 20 minutes for the drink and it was pretty ordinary for the $18 price tag. You need to do better TBH!

This review is solely on the food and service.

The food served here is rubbish, I've gone through the reviews and don't understand how people can say it's good. The pan roasted snapper was so overcooked and tough you could knock someone out with it. Portion size was small and the flavour was very bland, basically all you could taste were the slithers of pickled onions. However, you could almost excuse the portion size if the snapper was done well but it was so seriously dry and over cooked.

The waffle fries were average, when they say it comes with chili and cheese they meant chili and cheese sauce and not actual chili or melted cheese. There were barely any bacon bits and for $15, the serving size was not worth it

The worst was the fresh prawn salad, the meal tasted horrible due to the fact they didn't skin the green papaya.This gave it a horrible bitter flavour. The vermicelli noodle was not edible, it was basically raw. The Mrs couldn't eat it after a couple of bites. Such a waste of $22.

Service was poor as well. Maybe it was an off day but the girls working were all moody and unpleasant to deal with. We had to get our own meals from under the heat lights since no one was manning the counter and it took 20mins to call out a short black coffee.

Paid $32 for the ribs and they were honestly the worst I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten ribs all over the world! The ribs were burnt/black and the meat was chewy. The coleslaw was just chopped cabbage with no dressing (wtf) and the chips were soggy as they had placed the ribs that had run juices all over them. Also the buzzer thing ran out of battery so who knows how long my food had sat there for?
