Really interesting museum sharing the history of Townsville. Ended up spending a about two hours here just chatting with the very friendly volunteers and exploring the museum. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in museums.

Could have been interesting but we felt very uncomfortable as we were followed and watched continuously, as if we were going to steal items. The two volunteers even expressed that they were doing a 'change of the guard' to keep an eye on us. It was so uncomfortable that we only saw half the small museum. Very disappointed.

An extremely interesting museum...such a shame it is located where it is...should be on the Strand....wonderful collection of memorobillia and the guide Fred is an exceptional asset to the museum......keep up the good work....Townsville Council please relocate the museum where more people can explore Townsville history..

Great for the kids. Could be well placed in the town centre though to attract other than locals with vehicle access: somewhere like the old Townsville Railway Station
