Went on a Saturday night 2 weeks ago and the night was so good. The two young men working were on the ball and super friendly, and food was perfect. Steak was a perfect Medium Rare and the pasta was so nice and saucy. I would recommend the Peppercorn gravy with chips, it was so good. Definitely a great place to go for a relaxing Saturday out 😁

Waited 50 minutes for a 250g rump steak and we had to ask where the food was. It wasn't crazy busy but when the food came out the steak was over well done and 2 little pucks of steak totalling about 150g, I asked for medium. Ate it because I was hungry. ALH are often okay but this was abhorrent. Pot luck with food.

General pub food, schnitzels and burgers, and fish and chips are standard or above. The specials are okay and some are really good like the lamb shanks but the specials are a smaller portions then the pubs standard meals. The service tends to be quite fast most days..the staff are accommodating if you need to change meal slightly which is great. There is also a mini playground for the kids in the back corner and if you don't want to hear them you can sit on the booth side or outside

Had dinner there with 2 others when it wasn't busy. I had a steak which was just OK and with Dianne gravy which had lumps in it and was disgusting. To make it worse the other two got their meals about 5 min before I got mine. They weren't busy so I can't see how they couldn't organise it better. I won't be going back in a hurry.

Topaz used to be a hotel we went to dine over on weekends and it was a delightful experience every single visit. However, recently I ordered a birthday cake from this hotel for my mum. It was the worst cake ever. Hard texture and terrible tasting. It was most probably an out of date cake which was iced up and delivered. The icing was done well and tasted good. But the cake itself was very poor.

The gravy is weird. Like a jelly consistency not liquid.

Don't approve of card surcharges ordering from table.. include it in the price of food and drink.

Wednesday Snitty night is only chicken 🐔 not beef as well. Although the beef lookfair decent more like a crumbed steak 🥩

The food was good, roast lamb was a little dry, veggies but tasty. Veggies were very nice. The service was excellent. Very clean restaurant.
