Thoroughly loved my time at Toogunnna Plains Farmstay, a remote working station, as part of a Fun Over 50's tour. Fiona and Adam, our hosts, invited us to share some of their outback life on the land, through friendly and welcoming hospitality. Their resilient, hard-working spirit shone through every experience offered. The accommodation was cosy and luxurious.| Many fantastic, unique experiences included dinner at the homestead under the stars, historical station tour and drinks and canapes on the Kyra Sandhills. A short drive from the station, we enjoyed a guided tour of the Eromaga Natural History Museum, followed by a very special Tastes of the Outback dinner inside the venue. The food, cooked by Fiona, was delicious and always beautifully presented. Included were scrumptious breakfasts in the bush kitchen where all the family and farm employees made us feel at home. Fiona capably and lovingly catered for all activities mentioned above.|Fiona and Adam created an experience that involved a genuine true connection to their guests. I felt valued as a traveller and left feeling like a personal friend.

We've just completed an Outback Tour that included two nights at Toogunna Plains Farmstay, which was incredible! It was an absolute privilege to be welcomed into this beautiful family's world and get a glimpse of life on a sheep property. The farm tour, accommodation and all the extremely delicious meals, were A+!! Not to mention gorgeous sunsets and sunrises, together with more stars at night than I've ever seen before! Our heartfelt thanks to Fiona and Adam for your warm hospitality and for a memory that will stay with us forever. Toogunna Farmstay was a truly authentic outback experience and absolutely fantastic!! The accommodation is comfortable and charming, the food is always delicious, and they’re so easy to deal with. As part of a Fun Over 50 Holiday tour, we had a two-night stay at Toogunna Plains Station. Our hosts were Adam and Fiona and family. My travelling partner and I were accommodated in Eagle Hut 14, perfect for a home away from home stay. The air-conditioned rooms were warm and cozy, possessing all the mod-cons one would need for a comfortable stay. It was 'heaven' to drop into bed at night thanks to the comfy pillows and bedding. ||Unique and varied experiences around the property made for an unforgettable stay. A local historian brought the property to life sharing interesting stories about its famous founding owners, indigenous presence, and Cobb and Co activity. A formal dinner under the stars, scrumptious home-cooked breakfasts in the bush kitchen cooked by host Fiona, wine and canapes enjoyed from Kyra Sandhills at sunset, were just some of the gastronomical delights encountered. Host, Adam, gave us a guided and very informative station bus tour giving an insight into how the sheep and cattle station operates. We also were fortunate to see a sheep being sheared which was interesting to us "city folk". The Eromanga Natural History Museum is an easy drive from the station - a very enjoyable and interesting experience as well. |The delicious food, cooked by Fiona, was one of the main highlights of our stay. Adam, Fiona, their sons, and farm employees, went 'above and beyond' what was expected. They certainly made us feel like we were part of their family.|Our stay on the station gave us "city slickers" and appreciation of the dexterity of country folk. They do it all with a smile. Something we could definitely learn from them.

On a recent @funover50 trip we were fortunate enough to spend two nights at Toogunna Plains Farmstay. This was undoubtedly a major highlight of our Outback Queensland trip. From the moment we arrived, we received the most outstanding country hospitality. Our unique ensuite accommodation with wide verandahs offered views of this 140,000 acre sheep farm as far as the eye could see. Sunrises in peaceful surroundings and sunsets on rich red sand dunes and by the open fire pit. Fiona is an outstanding cook with varying menu options, while Adam is a laid back farmer offering superb knowledge of both farming and country. Let me not forget Old Rob with his rich indigenous knowledge and passion for Cobb and Co history where he shared tales of times gone by and showed hunting tools found locally. The absolute kicker of this two night stay has to be morning tea down by the creek, where the traditional billy was boiled. Thank you Fiona and Adam and your team for the work you have put in to create this wonderful farm experience.

There is only praise for this outstanding property. We spent 2 days here and couldn't be more grateful to Fiona, Adam & team who are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The accommodation is thoughtful appointed. Food and excursions were brilliant. They are steeped in the areas history with stories aplenty. We couldn't recommend this property more!
