We had a great day out at this trout farm, the beautiful scenery around the location, the options of fishing a beginner or advanced pond, the friendly and helpful staff who were more than happy to set us up with the rods, bait etc.
Staff will even help you net the trout from the ponds as well as gut and clean them.
In fact, the best part of this experience was the wonderful staff there, and especially if you have young children or never fished before they were always not far away to assist you. We got a couple of nice sized trout, and a few of their smoked trout, which I would highly recommend purchasing on the way out as they were quite delicious!
We'll definitely be coming back soon.

We went here despite the rain and we weren’t disappointed! We enjoyed it here especially my son, who was able to catch a 1.2kg trout! Definitely a core memory for him. Staff is really friendly and helpful as he made it easy for us to try out fishing for the first time. Will definitely be back here on warmer days and make us of their grills for cooking on the spot.

Nice big grassed area.
We liked that the dams weren't over crowded with fish. Which ment it took a while for my young fella to catch a fish.
There is a spot where it is easy to catch a fish nearly straight away.
We went to the area where you had to wait afew minutes for a bite, which ment he dropped afew before he landed a fish.
Good fishing experience for a little angler.
People where very friendly and inviting. Beautiful part of the world.

Being only an hour drive from Melbourne, this farm is a suitable fishing place for newbies/beginners. The owner family was very nice and friendly, and even instructed us to do a proper rod throw.

Other than trouts, there are eels as well. The farm also offers help on cutting the trouts on the spot. There are also picnic areas, BBQs and some treats on the side as well, where you can grill the trouts there.

Overall, a good place for a relaxing weekend getaway.

This was an excellent experience and very affordable at only $11/person entry fee and around $27/kg for the fish you catch. City people (like me) beware - you do need to take any fish you catch home with you! (It is inhumane to catch fish and then release them back as they will die slowly and painfully.) Catching a fish is nearly guaranteed! I looked up a steamed fish (清蒸鱼) recipe and made whole fish for the first time ever with my own fish. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you have never fished before I would suggest asking the staff for advice on how to cast the fishing line etc and they would be happy to help.

Family owned and very friendly. They will provide you with everything you need to fish and also show you how to as well if you've never tried before. Plenty of fish while we were there, caught 3 within an hour while barely trying to. The farm is clean and the ponds are quite large so there is plenty of room to fish and there's different levels of difficulty so it's up to you how quickly you want to catch fish. They will also clean the fish for you for free so you can start cooking it once you're home. And the backdrop scenery is just as lovely.
