Very clean, comfortable and simple accommodation and I loved that Tim made an outdoor fire for his guests on Fri evening. It was lovely relaxing by the fire and chatting with some of the other guests. Also, our cabin had it's own deck with table and chairs and we could sit and look at the mountains nearby.

Cute local feel with everything you need to stay. Place is clean, well stocked & well equipped kitchen. Lovely scenery from the back porch. But most of all, Tim is friendly, helpful & lovely host. Highly recommended for a budget stay

The best place we stayed during our entire trip to Australia. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Tim gave us ideas for hikes (see the silent stairs!). The kangaroos in the yard were a highlight of our vacation.

We had such a lovely stay at Tim's Place! We stayed here only a couple days during our trip to the Grampians, but we wished we could have stayed longer. Tim is an incredible host - kind, helpful, and made us feel instantly welcome. He was there to greet us when we arrived, showed us around, recommended some hikes, and even helped us figure out the bus schedule when we left. The hostel itself is clean, comfortable, and had everything you'd need to feel at home. We loved eating dinner outside, listening to the birds chirping in the morning, and watching the kangaroos come out into the nearby fields in the evening. The location is fantastic - perfect if you want to see kangaroos up close! Tim even offers bikes you can borrow to take into town if you need to stop by the grocery store. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Tim's Place to anyone visiting the Grampians!

This was our second stay at Tim's Place, and our second positive experience. We stayed two nights in a queen bed private room and loved it.

The host and staff very friendly and kind, the rooms are great for budget accommodation as the beds and pillows are quite comfy and the rooms and showers are clean. The shared meals area and kitchen are ample and the plunger coffee is unheard of! Awesome!

It's less than a ten minute walk from Halls Gap, but why walk when you could ride? Check out one of the free bikes and use it for the day.

Last time we stayed here we said we'd be back, it took four years but we returned - and we'll be back again!

Very clean and cousy place. It feels more like living in a house than in a hostel. The kitchen is well equipped and clean. You also get free coffee, tea and chocolate.

The owner, Tim, is very helpful and nice and will make you feel at home.

A little minus is that the beds are a bit too hard.

I stayed here for a week and I really enjoyed my stay.

We stayed there for one night in March 2020. It was the first time staying in a hostel for my husband, but we both loved it. Tim was very helpful and the place is quaint and quiet. Just behind the property is a ground where kangaroos come out in the evening. There is a nice deck where one can sit for a cuppa in the mornings or evenings. Will visit again.
