Fantastic Stay at Tiki Hotel and Apartments!

Our recent week-long stay at the Tiki Hotel and Apartments was absolutely wonderful, and we'd happily book here again! We traveled with our two teenage sons, and a friend with their two teens also stayed in a separate apartment – it was the perfect setup for a group.
The location simply couldn't be better. Being so central meant we could easily enjoy evening strolls to Cavill Avenue for dinner and soak in all the vibrant street entertainment. It was fantastic to have everything right on our doorstep.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which really set a positive tone for our holiday. Our apartment was just what we needed for a comfortable week. The kitchen facilities were a huge bonus, allowing us to whip up delicious breakfasts before our big days out exploring. While the design and decor might be a little dated, it honestly didn't detract from our experience at all; the apartment was more than suitable and perfectly functional for our group to fully enjoy our holiday.
We had a brilliant time and would definitely recommend the Tiki Hotel and Apartments for anyone looking for a well-located, comfortable, and friendly base for their Gold Coast adventures.

Big spacious 1 bedroom apartment. Loved the room lots of space with kids. Then come the nightlife and sounded like everyone outside was in the room, I can usually sleep no matter what and I ended up doing so but the noise was quite loud. Still had a great time and once again the rooms are actually great so big and staff were lovely no other complaints.

Rooms were great felt a little dated but we're clean and comfortable. Was plenty of room for our family to spread out and relax. Great views and not far from anything you could want, less than a 10 min walk to beach.

The worst experience I have ever had a hotel!
My friend booked a room and we where threatened to be evacuated if we entered it as we had an additional guest who wanted to stay just to get ready with us (not to stay the night) the worker was extremely rude and refused to let as in the room. We ended up having to book another accommodation at 8pm on a Saturday night when it was extremely busy. I seriously am so disappointed and disgusted in his behaviour to us girls who where being nothing but nice and calm regardless of his poor behaviour.

This place very good for value. In a good spot. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Great views from room 807. Everything you need is a hop and a skip away in regards to shopping, river cruise, aqua duck adventures, restaurants etc. Will be back again

Everything was great, back in its prime it would have been considered 10/10. It is dated, but the price was right, service was great, location perfect! And it suited what our family needed. The kids loved it there and we were in walking distance to everything that we needed!

Was pretty good value for the money you pay it's also very cheap at under $200 bucks per night and stayed on a wed thursday and was honestly way better than that Sofitel hotel in closer to broadbeach city centre!!! We were there the nights B4 & the hotel concierge was more like a natzi motel micromanager! So just to be clear you're better off if u stay in the tiki if amongst your choices is the Sofitel hotel in broadbeach...then it's THE TIKI HOTEL APARTMENTS SURFERS PARADISE!! HANDS DOWN!! loved the privacy of being able to close out the world and then to also be able to see out of the windows of the incredible skyline view of the gold coast in the background and with the water view we had in the foreground with boats coming and going out into the sea from within the lounge room was cool too. We were up only 3 floors but yeah it was so lovely. Had all great amenities with also a top notch BBQ and wicked pool area with stuff for kids to do too.... we missed having the kids there this time but we'll endeavor to take them at least one of the times... We really felt at home there for the two nights we stayed at the end of our trip.and will likely stay again. Great and helpful staff... The girl who booked us in was very accommodating and helpful to add ease to our booking.com experience also

DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked a family stay here for Easter weekend on booking.com and the customer service (and venue) was disgusting. Firstly I read the t&cs before booking, then prior to arrival, called to confirm the reservation which including asking about the parking situation and was only explained height restrictions. Upon arrival I paid for car parking and signed their check in paperwork where I was asked to write my license number down which I did. I was shown a list of house policies which included no parties, I made a joke that my daughter was 17 and there would be none. We left for a walk around as we were early and all was fine. The building was disgusting, drug paraphernalia around the entrance, people smoking in undesignated areas, and bloody tampons left in the bathrooms. The other adult in our booking arrived and I went to reception to pay for her parking and was advised that they only allow 1 car per room and that it is a first come first serve basis as they do not have enough parks for the amount of rooms, I stated that we are first come (only 3 other cars parked), I didn’t see this policy anywhere in the booking.com listing or in the communication from them directly in my b.com inbox or during check in earlier. We got into a heated argument and they threatened to have the car towed if it is parked there. They refused to acknowledge any of their poor communication, blamed us for booking on b.com and one staff member sat texting on her phone instead of listening to me. I asked for a refund so we could stay elsewhere and they refused, they said we could be refunded for 1 night only. We left to get food and when we were gone they called and said that we were being kicked out as we have a 17 yr old (only just turned 17) in the room without a parent, I stated I am her parent and the woman on the phone laughed/scoffed and stated that I’m not old enough to be her parent. I stated I’m 31 and could show them my license but that I’d never been advised of this policy previously so since when is this a thing? She then asked if we share the same last name, I was shocked and advised, no we don’t as I’m not married to the father. This is blatant discrimination and completely unprofessional behaviour from a hotel employee. She quickly back tracked and blamed it on the manager who I was not allowed to speak with, blaming him saying he will fire her if she doesn’t do what he says. I explained that you cannot kick someone out for a policy not advised earlier nor, can you question someone’s parental or marriage status but she did not seem to care. She said she would call her manager and explain and I said I would think about what we wanted to do (if we wanted the full refund and to stay elsewhere), luckily, we got to stay elsewhere for cheaper and it was stunning. I called back and said we would leave, she said her manager wasn’t gonna let us stay anyway and we took the key back. When we got there, her tune was a bit different, I told her the woman who checked us in needs more training, she explained that they check ID for anyone who looks under 25 and that I just look very young and would’ve advised on the under 18 policy then, I asked why didn’t my ID get checked, she stated that it was.. and showed me my ID number to which I pointed out that I had written that myself. She half apologised, said she would take on the feedback about staff training but that her manager holds a shotgun to her back and when I said we have somewhere nicer to stay she agreed that this place was disgusting and not worth the money. This was also in front of other guests. We asked some locals about the place later on and they mentioned that the hotel is known for being dangerous and that the pictures online are fake/out dated and they have lots of trouble there constantly.
