Very busy, very popular tavern at Cape Woolamai in the Philip Island, had lunch here with my cousin and her hubby and was rocking from the moment we arrived.
My Prawn Aglio E Olio was spectacular, and just the right level of chilli spiciness. My fiancee's fish and chips were perfect, too. Prices were not to bad either. Service was spot on. Very impressed with our lunch experience.

Overall very good.
Not too touristy, mostly local.
Fresh food and seafood, not from packages.
A bit too salty on every dish.

Great pub on the island. I opted for the daily special steak sandwich and it was perfect. Steak was tender and not chewy which is the most important thing, with a top relish and nicely toasted and buttered bread. Perfect steak cut chips too

Good local pub serving pub grub. Casual dining experience. Nothing fancy about this place. Lots of different food specials each night of the week. Service is friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking available.

Very unimpressed I took a photo of my chicken schnitzel chips and mini gravy or lack of gravy. I put a bottle cap next to the pathetic size gravy you served us for comparison about 20ml of watery gravy is a disgrace. We even had to ask for knives and forks and there was no salt and pepper. I don't understand how you can do such an amazing job in your Tarwin Lower pub and yes they have a huge gravy and you can get mushroom gravy in the boat style bowl. Please be like your Tarwin pub

Wouldn’t survive a month in Melbourne. $32 Fish and chips is a piece of frozen flake on a pile of chips with a crap salad. Schnitzel dry. 12 hour lamb certainly not cooked for 12 hours.
Burger ok.
Service from woman behind bar ( Labour Day evening) absolutely appalling and really rude.
A bad look for the business. Not busy. No excuses.

LOVED IT!!! you do have to book though it’s so popular! We didn’t book so we just sat outside to eat, thankfully a table was free!
we didn’t mind all the beautiful doggies we got to pat! (Pet friendly)
The kids shared a schnitzel and chips, we got three entree’s to share which were phenomenal!
The kids ice cream was 3 big scoops and the warm chocolate cake was Devine!
The cocktails were delicious! The sweet and stormy was dangerously tasty!

Cute pub with a local vibe. Lots of picnic tables put front for the warmer days, bar and dining options inside.

We sat inside today to catch some of the tennis which was playing on the big screen. We only had access to a limited menu because we were there around 3pm.

I enjoyed a Parma and Stacey took the wedges. Solid pub food all round and with checking out after the Wooli cape hike or beach day.
