This was our local. We used to eat here every week. Since the renovations the food is disgusting. We have been a few times since the renovations hoping things would change but tonight was the last straw. The food was amazing before!! The pizzas are not the same, we have tried more than a few things on the menu and disappointed everytime. We will now travel to Vineyard hotel to get a decent pub feed. Bring back the old chef!

Went for lunch with a large group, we had 5 young children with us and were told from staff that they don't have a nappy change station in any of their many bathrooms. Extremely disappointing as it's a family friendly pub with large playground. We won't be back until one is put in.
A gate would also be a great add on at the top of the steep stairs going down to the playground.

Since renovated, has become simply another overpriced restaurant. Used to be my favourite local pub for great quality meals at affordable prices. Quality of both pizza other main meals seems to have dropped while becoming much more expensive.

We visited last night for the first time after renovations. Disappointment would be an understatement. Wine list showed no Australian Rose. Food was disgusting. We were unable to tell the difference between fish and chips and chicken schnitzel. Both covered in a thick inedible crumb/batter.
We won’t be back

Edit: I appreciate that you read my review but blatantly lying when I've attached the images of AI art on the front of your building with five fingers, is not on. Please either address this with your in house illustration team or amend your reply stating no AI is used. I'll happily change my review if it's addressed in the future.

Please, please commission an illustrator. Ai art doesn't deserve to be in a beautiful creative community like ours.

Also on a side the new garlic bread pizza thing sucks compared to the old one and the frozen drinks on the menu haven't worked since they were introduced.

Refurb looks great but expected more for the area.

What happened to our local country pub we used to enjoy!! Coming here for 12 years we looked forward to the updated decor... which is a massive improvement and long overdue!! However, our worst fear of another overpriced yuppy hotel were realised!! We used to visit every week as the food was good pub food and reasonably priced!! Unfortunately after visiting 4 times since the reno and hoping the food would change, even with the new new menu, we have been left very disappointed!! A country pub without a good chicken snitzel or topper is just not Australian!! We were advised we couldnt swap chips and salad for mash and veg and instead asked to pay an extra $10 for a small bowl of veg and $10 for a small bowl of "smashed potato"!!! Our snitzel ended up costing $42!! with the dianne sauce being horrendous.... so runny, not much of it and very tasteless!!
Maybe the chefs need to look at how Bligh Park Tavern has done their new menu and pricing! On a good note the chips and veg were fresh and the beetroot and citrus salad was nice. Unfortunately we are yet another local that wont be back until things change!!

Not the same. No real ambience and cheap materials used in renovations along with unfinished gardens. Meals average with no wow factor, and wine menu reflects the same. No separate outside deck, only area is set to a kids playground which may no suit some groups who would like to sit outside.

For years I would tell everyone how much I loved going to the Heritage. Had that country feel and even better, amazing food throughout the years - whether it was the chilli pasta, pizza or even when boss burgers were running there.
Visited for the first time last week after renovations and the food has gone completely down hill. Fair enough going to roots with the name change, but the place doesnt have that small country town feel anymore.
You've slimmed down the menu options, fair enough, but the options you do have and for the price you're charging - just aint cutting it.
Burger was 'acceptable' at best i suppose, but its far from its prior legacy (and has shrunk, more like a childs cheeseburger with that miniscule amount of beef you put in it - i mean, its abattoir country ). No bacon option, just bacon chilli onion jam - wat the hell is that?!
Pizza was a disgrace (soggy, horrid tasting tomato base, soft like sandwich bread), as was whatever the hell that 'carrot' dessert thing was, everyone tried a spoon and it was left there 90% uneaten... What happened to having dessert options that would suit a 'majority'. Whats the kitchen trying to prove?
Simplicity is key and people mainly come for a feed. You've lost that traditional pub feel, with what was once an amazing kitchen. Its as though you guys have tried to make things too fancy and killed everything in the process. You want to charge what you charge for food - put the quality back to what it was prior to renovation...
This is not an individual opinion either - a group of 5 of us were all left in disappointment. As time goes on, you'll see a drop, its a matter of time.
Def not going there again, until word of mouth comes down that something dramatically changes.
Good luck with the new venture 'Trop'...
