The location is excellent, upon booking online it was advertised as 4 star accommodation, each apartment may be at a different standard; the apartment we stayed in was overdue for an upgrade and not 4 star. The apartment size is very large. The room did not have any controls for the air con units, when we called reception they advised we needed to come down and collect the remotes. Remotes for the TV's needed batteries and we also had to collect from reception. Extra bedding in the cupboards had stains on them and the remote did not work for the TV in the lounge room. Pool area was great and heated. We asked for tennis rackets and balls for the tennis court and advised we needed to pay, usually the amenities are included in the room charge.

Unfortunately we didn't know there were going to be renovations until we made the booking and paid a deposit. With the renovations the balcony window in the main bedroom was covered so you couldn't see outside unless you walked out and looked over. The balcony in the kitchen wasn't covered as we asked if there was access and they let us use the balcony. We noticed there was some crumbling concrete in the corner as well. The pool heater pump wasn't working so the water was cold but the spa water was fine. We weren't aware of this either until we checked in. For the money we paid to stay here I was expecting it to be better and cleaner. During the week there was no access to the beach from the gate that has direct access. You had to walk around from the main road. The ensuite has no doors so if you are using the toilet you have to shut the curtains and close the door for privacy as the scaffolding people go up and down regularly. The spa wasn't working either and by the amount of dust that came out of the filter you could tell it hasn't been used for a while. There was only one socket for charging phones in the 2nd bedroom and you couldn't have a lamp connected for some dim lighting at the same time. So maybe a power board would be good.

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and disgust at the condition of the holiday rental apartment we stayed in from [Friday 8/8/2025] to [Monday 11/8/2025] Room [apartment41 ]. Despite paying a substantial amount for the stay, the apartment was not only dirty but also had a mattress that was in an unacceptable state. The mattress was stained and had an unpleasant odor, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep.( we had to sleep on the couch cushions in the lounge area)
The apartment's overall condition was far below our expectations. There were dirty dishes and utensils , , and the bathrooms were not cleaned properly. Given the state of the apartment, we are requesting a full refund of $[1000] for our stay or another 4 days in a better quality spa apartment at no cost to us, We believe this is justified considering the significant distress and discomfort we experienced due to the poor condition of the apartment. And not being allowed to use the amenities (pool table in the games room)
We would appreciate it if you could process the refund as soon as possible. If we do not receive a response or the refund within [timeframe, 7 days ], we will be forced to take further action and leave a review on [platform/app] detailing our experience. And also sending through photos and videos of the condition of the apartment to OH&S

We were very disappointed with our stay at the Penthouses Apartments. It was a lot of money and was not worth the money. The Penthouses Apartments was rated as a 4 star and that's not true, it was more like a 1 star.
We paid $700.00 for the first night and $725.00 for the next night. The Penthouses Apartments was the most expensive accommodations we have ever paid while staying at different places in Australia or anywhere else in all of our years of traveling.
The view was nice but the maintenance of the room was terrible and so were the amenities. The gray rug was stained and looked like it was 30 years old. The couch was dirty and old. The dishes were all mismatched. The front of the dishwasher had lots of water stains on it and broken inside the unit. The hangers were all scattered and not tidy. There were not enough towels, dish soap or laundry soap. The blanket had big snags in it. The pillows were in poor condition. The windows outside were dirty. The bath tub didn't shut off properly. The oven had tin foil all inside it so tacky!
The outside of the property was old and rundown. The tennis court had an indoor-outdoor rug that was all worn out. The pool sticks had no life left in them. The ping pong mallets were worn out. The office where we checked in was dirty.
We have been reading the reviews on the different sites after returning home and it's sad that there are others that have not been happy with accommodations at the Penthouses. It said 4**** when we booked our stay but it is really is a 1 like others have said in the reviews.
We wrote a letter to management but got no reply so we are putting our review on this page warning people about the misleading advertising.
We are just ordinary people and we feel ripped off. The stay at PentHouses was very subpar. We won't be back and won't be recommending anyone stay at the The Penthouses.

I stayed there the view is amazing and would have been awesome- but they had not informed me of workers working on the whole face of the building which had no privacy as they moved up and down _ and Jack hammering off concrete at 8am in the morning - They charged me full rate- I even wrote a written complaint note - I wont stay there again after that full priced noisy experience .

The worst holiday experience of my life. The apartments are disgustingly dirty with absolute junk furniture that looked like it was collected on the side of the road. Nothing was clean with rubbish still under the couch and my daughter had a chew up lolly stuck to her sheets. We went into one apartment that was so old and run down wouldn’t expect anyone to have to stay in it. Electrical leads everywhere, filthy carpet, zip tie holding lights together and mould and cigarette butts on the balcony. I went and purchased cleaning products and spend two hours cleaning ti make it bearable for the night.
We were moved to a second apartment which had a nicer renovation but the furniture and filth were exactly the same.
The whole building is not maintained at all and do not employ cleaners rather than the caretakers and some young staff doing a half ass job.
I feel for the investors of this complex as it needs some major interventions to make it even passable as a complex that can be rented out.

This accommodation was under construction when I stayed there. It was very noisy, constant hammering and drilling on the walls. Vibrating the whole apartment from 8:00 in the morning till 4:00 in the afternoon made our stay totally unbearable. The Workman even accessed our personal balcony bedroom balcony early in the morning for maintenance 11 floors up. This was very disturbing when the curtains were drawn. Even though the place is located brilliantly. Everything was under construction. Ropes were dangling from the roof smashing the windows all night. The service was terrible and I believe we also had cockroaches in our room. Worst stay ever. Please see photos

It was a very bad experience. The hotel cannot be a four-star hotel. It is a one-star hotel. Poor rooms and unclean bedding. My family and I had to leave the hotel a few hours after check-in. We lost the two-day money we booked. It is really a bad experience and will not be repeated in this miserable hotel.
