Myself and some collaborating artists stayed at the Old Convent while also using the venue as a photo shoot location. We couldn't have been more stoked with the experience. As accommodation the house was beyond perfect. Truly immaculate, and so beautifully and authentically appointed. It was comfortable, warm and luxurious for such a historical building. As a photoshoot venue it was ideal - with many rooms and settings, all spacious and light filled.
Beck (the wonderful host), puts so much care and consideration into the experience of her guests. With beautiful welcoming treats, clear instructions and lots of welcome advice on places to eat.
Hospitality at its finest - what a privilege to experience. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing. Stayed here with the family and it was beautiful. The kids had a ball in the games room while we played pool and cooked a bbq. The history of the building is also great to read in the books found in the lounge. A nice relaxing hot tub was a must before we jumped into the huge comfortable beds. I want to say thank you to Beck again for going out of her way to make our stay feel welcoming. Highly recommended.

Beck went over and above to make our stay wonderful - her communication was superb. The scrabble board had my name with "Happy Birthday" spelled out, which was a delightful touch. Lots of other personal touches made me feel special on my special day and for my family to enjoy this lovely house and its amenities. The furnishings are amazing; wait till you see the beds! The house is so well equipped, the beds comfortable, and it caters so well for adults and kids alike. Loved it.

The property features four spacious and beautifully decorated bedrooms. The entire home is immaculate, thoughtfully styled, and ideal for a relaxing boutique holiday.

Highlights included a private spa area perfect for unwinding, and a fun games room that kept everyone entertained—ideal for families or groups looking for a luxury retreat with both relaxation and entertainment.

What made our stay truly exceptional was the amazing host. Bec was friendly, welcoming, and full of great local recommendations, she went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Her hospitality added a personal touch that made the experience even more memorable.

If you’re looking for a unique holiday home, luxury accommodation in the Hunter Valley, we highly recommend The Old Convent. A perfect mix of history, comfort, and warm hospitality—we can’t wait to return!

If we could leave 6 stars we would.

The house itself is gorgeous - lots of original heritage features and tasteful touches. A bit of luxury on the edge of rolling fields and lovely walks.

The hot tub was a huge hit with our kids, as were the massive beds. The house has great games to keep little ones occupied.

Beck was an absolutely consummate host. Clear communication throughout, lovely welcoming touches in the house itself, and really went above and beyond to make suggestions for local activities and highlights. We couldn’t have had a better experience.

The Old Convent is without doubt an outstanding mix of History and Luxury.
From the beautifully appointed comfy Kingsize beds, to the well equipped kitchen our every need was taken care of.
Ducted heating makes the place warm, cosy and comfortable and there was plenty of entertainment to keep us entertained in the evenings. Of course there is the standard big screen tv, but also a large collection of board games, a billiard table, a games room for young and old, and of course the spa! For those like ourselves interested in the history of this place there is plenty of reading material available to study.
We also visited many interesting old towns in the area, and attended the Sunflower farm which is another great reason to visit Largs along with the wonderful meals served at the Bush Rangers Hotel which just a 3 minute walk from the Old Convent.
The Old Convent is truly a credit to its owners who made us feel so very welcome and just went that extra mile with all their thoughtful inclusions that really go above and beyond !

We had a fantastic stay with a group of friends for a weekend. The owner was without doubt the best host of any place I have stayed. She was thoughtful and left us so much information about the old home and the area generally. She was kind, she left a welcome personalised message on a scrabble together with a bottle of champagne and several other treats. We wanted for nothing in this beautiful home everything had been thought of in the kitchen and the outside area with games was unbelievable. Thank you so much The Old Convent. Couldn't recommend this place higher. 👏👏👏👏

I recently attended a local networking event at The Old Convent, what an amazing venue! The Convent itself is stunning, each room beautifully designed to feel warm and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful and our host Beck welcomed us like we were entering her home! A great space for a stay with family and friends and a gorgeous backdrop for wedding photos! Also great space for workshops or functions. A hidden gem in the leafy suburb of Largs.
