First time I have arrived at a destination and it is better than the brochure. A beautiful house as well as a great location - close enough to the shopping strip to walk for anything, but also the river and river path only a short walk down the hill.
Everything was so beautiful, I just wanted to move in. Lots of light, lots of amenities - both inside and out - and we all fully enjoyed our stay. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Beautiful big house. Everything is perfect. Owners a delight by email etc. V close to the Tumut River, and to town. Grand skylight, great living areas and outdoor tables. Parking for 5+ cars.

This is the best place we have ever stayed as a family. The attention to detail in the whole experience is beyond expectations. It felt like we were the first guests to ever stay there! Whilst this was a short stay for the family to unwind and recharge with phones and social media turned off - boy was it worth it! Such wonderful, thoughtful hosts - the homestead has been lovingly restored and is packed with games for the family, all streaming services for a cinema experience on the comfy lounge and the walking tracks and parks nearby were magnificent. We could not recommend the Monarch enough. Thank you for having us and congratulations on what you provide for your guests.

We stayed here with my family of 3 generations in August 2022 . Great location, easy walk to town, parks and river. The Monarch is a beautiful home, immaculately kept, super clean, spacious yet very cosy with a lovely log fire. The kitchen is very well equipped for whatever you feel like cooking with a couple of beautiful cookbooks to inspire any guest. The home is filled with natural light and beautiful decor. The attention to detail is outstanding….. we have stayed at numerous holiday homes, but this has been the best. We feel the owners, Wendy and Peter love this home and it shows!!!

Such a beautiful house with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Close to everything Tumut has to offer, and lots of thoughtful touches for kids throughout the house. This was my third time staying at the Monarch and it gets better every time.

We've stayed at many lovely holiday houses but none more lovely or better equipped than The Monarch. While the kitchen/living area is the defining feature of the house, the bathroom and ensuite are lovely and the bedrooms very comfortable. And Wendy's attention to detail is exceptional, even supplying hooded towels for the two toddlers we had with us. Thank you again, Wendy. Julie and Michael
