In general, it’s a good place to relax and has brunch. I went there, ordered one of my favorite- the French toast. It came out very nicely decorated and drizzled with honey syrup, yum! While my friend ordered the big breakfast which she enjoyed. However, half way through my meal, I noticed a hair glued to the strawberry I was about to eat. I thought it will be good to bring to their attention.
I waited for one of the waitresses to come by and I explained to her. She took my plate and she said she will let the kitchen know. My plate was taken away and never come back and there was no apology. It’s quite a surprise for a place like this. The food is still good, yeah I think their customer service may need some improvement.

The only good thing was the bagel. The pasta was overly salty, and the coffee was quite watery. Although there were plenty of staff in the restaurant, they seemed to prefer chatting with each other rather than providing service. The plating of the dishes also definitely needs improvement!

The Loft Cafe at Macquarie Centre is a unique little spot with a refreshing ambience that sets it apart from the usual mall cafes. Tucked away on Level 4, it offers a cozy yet open space, making it a nice place to take a break while shopping. The decor and atmosphere are definitely a highlight—modern, stylish, and a bit different from what you’d expect in a shopping center.

I tried a flat white and a chai latte, and while both were decent, they didn’t particularly stand out. The flat white had a smooth texture but lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. The chai latte was okay, with a mild spice profile, though it could have been a bit richer in taste.

What really stood out was the customer service—the staff were friendly, welcoming, and efficient, which made the visit pleasant. It’s always nice when a place makes you feel valued as a customer.

Overall, The Loft Cafe is worth visiting if you’re in Macquarie Centre and looking for a peaceful spot to relax. While the coffee and chai were just okay, the great service and unique setting make it a nice little escape from the busy shopping environment.

The Loft Cafe has great tasting coffee (soy latte), and my salad bowl was good. My son had the big breakfast which lived up to its name as he couldn't finish it and that's a miracle! The line can be long, and I noticed some people didn't have the patients to wait and walked off.

Food was not good at all, the poached eggs were hard! No sauce! Too dry for a breakfast. Drinks were average!
Prices are not fair based on what you get.

Overall, it’s just ok.
I get it, rent would be high in a mall and the seating is nice and open (although we found ourselves constantly changing tables to get away from the hot sun), but charging $18 for this is hard to justify. For scale, they are cherry bocconcini and you only get 1.5 of them (3 halves) and the plate is minimal in both size and flavor.

I gave it 3 stars only because it was a clean, pleasant environment but it could absolutely do better.

Loft is really a great café! We’ve always had a fantastic experience there. The vibe, food and coffee is excellent, the staff are amazing, and the manager is kind and hospitable. Overall, I highly recommend it to everyone. Just keep in mind that it’s busy on weekends, which is a testament to how good it is.

Have been visiting The Loft Cafe for many years. Best coffee in Macquarie Centre, excellent service and friendliness from all staff members/barrista’s, and a menu with great variety and quality.

I’ve been here just for takeaway coffee, had business meetings and breakfast with family. Consistently excellent service and quality.

Congrats to the team! Highly recommended
