We were greeted by Jacquie, one of the proprietors, who was very friendly and welcoming. She made us quite comfortable. We only stayed one night but we were treated like family. Great suggestions for dinner, Oscars, and good help with local winery suggestions. Maxwell’s was our favorite. Breakfast was prepared by the owner, Maureen. There were menu items but we were offered our own options as well.||It was a wonderful stay, and I am sure that others would enjoy it as well.

We stayed just one night here on our way through to Adelaide. It was much more than we could have hoped for. Maureen and Jackie made us feel like one of the family. Our room was above and beyond clean and comfortable. Complimentary port and chocolates a lovely touch. Breakfast in the morning served with beautiful bone china and a great hot meal to start the day. Would highly recommend this lovely B& B to any travellers.

My husband and I stayed here for one night on 30 May 2018. As we made our booking quite quickly without extensive research, we weren't quite sure what to expect - and ended up being blown away by how perfect everything was. ||The Linear Way B&B is in a small, red-bricked building that could be easily missed if you drive by too quickly - but behind its modest exterior is a beautifully furnished, cosy abode providing the most welcoming homestay experience possible. ||Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by owner Jackie, who showed us round the place. The first floor was where the communal spaces were - a dining area, a living room with a TV and fireplace, and a small reception area with books and brochures for browsing. Our room was on the second floor. It was clean, spacious and bright, with two large windows boasting lovely views of the grassy fields across the road. It had all the standard amenities of a modern hotel: TV, free Wi-Fi, an electric kettle, toiletries etc. - but was gorgeously furnished and decorated in a classic style reminiscent of an English countryside home. What was truly amazing, however, was the incredible attention to detail and the little thoughtful touches - Lindt chocolates hidden within a pretty porcelain container; a decanter of port alongside small sparkling glasses; complimentary milk, biscuits, and tea sachets, accompanied with Royal Albert cups to drink in; a flask of ice water, covered with a dainty crocheted doily. I could go on, but the list is endless! ||Breakfast, prepared by Jackie and her mother Maureen, was a delightful affair as well. We were served a delicious English breakfast of eggs, tomatoes and bacon, alongside a free flow of cereal, milk and toast, with a selection of spreads stored in cute containers. All this was served in no less than Royal Albert porcelain. Midway through the meal Maureen and Jackie came out to chat with us and our fellow guests, and we couldn't help being tickled by the funny banter between mother and daughter. ||Overall we had a wonderful experience, and a big thank you goes out to Maureen and Jackie for their warmth and hospitality, and for making our stay such a pleasant one! If you are dropping by Maclaren Vale, do consider a stay at The Linear B&B for a pleasant retreat in a home away from home.

After an impromptu stay last year, we returned on purpose this year and we're really thrilled that everything was the same. Our bed (Kookaburra room I think) was massive and super comfortable. Maureen & Jackie are very accommodating and welcoming and breakfast is delicious. There are restaurants etc just a short walk away so it is very conveniently located. Definitely recommend!

Three of us booked the B&B and were thrilled with the accommodations. The single was upstairs in the main house and my husband and myself had a studio attached to the house. We had air conditioning and a small fridge. Full shower bathroom. A nice touch was cold water in a decanter along with glasses. Also a selection of teas and instant coffee. We were given easy walking directions to some restaurants but being a Monday all were closed except for the local hotel. It was quite busy but we were treated wonderfully. Hubby got up before our 9 am breakfast and went to seek out a 'real coffee'. Sweet Maureen was nervous he might fall on her freshly washed foyer floor. She is not the coffee maker, daughter Jackie is but she did her best. Our breakfast table was laid out with several laces of tablecloths and a gorgeous blue Royal Albert China. We were served our tea and coffee in authentic china coffee and tea containers. Also, a variety of jams and jellies in cute containers. We chose the eggs and bacon with toast breakfast and we were filled to the brim when our meal was finished. We could have chatted all day with Maureen and Jackie. We left giving hugs and hoping to connect sometime in the future. Please visit this lovely B& B. It really is a wonderful home away from home;

Had a wedding in Mclarenvale so decided to stay over for one night and so pleased we chose this B&B. A beautiful house, neat and clean and terrific family running it. We stayed in the room upstairs with our own en-suite and there were little extras supplied which made it all so much nicer. Great cooked breakfast as well. Will return for sure.
