The Lily is the perfect base for climbing Bluff Knoll. Lovely views of the Stirling Ranges, comfortable accommodation, interesting Dutch themed memorabilia, lovely, warm hosts, dog friendly a big plus for us. Thank you for having us to stay.

We had an amazing stay at the Lily for a great weekend of hiking Bluff Knoll and relaxation. ||The property itself has the most insanely stunning views, the working Windmill, the Dakota and the Stirling range in the background behind rolling fields of wheat all add up to something so special and the sunsets both nights were absolutely mind-blowing. ||We had a 2 night stay in the Dakota (DC3) which was just great. So unique and really well converted into a tiny-house style BnB. Everything you could need is in there and the breakfast basket was well worth it. We were there on a particularly hot weekend, however the aircon in the Dakota kept up well to keep us comfortable. ||Perfect as a base-camp for a hike at Bluff Knoll (15 minutes down the road). ||The owners Hennie and Pleun were both fantastic and attentive to any needs we had. They set a really great vibe right from the get-go as you go into their really unique reception. ||Couple things to note: |If you are particularly tall (6ft +) you may struggle a little in the Dakota. There is plenty of head-room except for the cockpit/bathroom and the kitchenette. |The beds and benchtops are all level, but the floor ramps up to the nose of the plane. It can be a little unsettling at first but you get used to it. |Bring some bacon to go with your brekkie basket and you will have a great bacon and egg meal on their home-made spelt bread. ||Thank you so much guys. We will be back.

When we were looking for a special place to stay in the Stirling Ranges, The Lily came up. We immediately fell in love and booked our stay in the Dakota DC3. Our last DC3 flight was in 2006 and this was a nostalgic (re)encounter! When we arrived for our 2-nights stay, we were warmly welcomed by Hennie and Pleun. This was the cleanest and most well-equipped holiday accommodation we have stayed in. Going to our beds needed a little bit of getting used to, as they are standing on a slight incline but the beds themselves are level. There is even a private air strip. Admiring the line-up of the peaks of the Stirling Range right from your veranda (or even your bed) and the sunset was magical. Just a pity that we had to leave after our 2 nights there. We’ll be back though!

The Lily was a great find with cozy, quaint and comfortable rooms in equal measure. They really are more like apartments with an excellent shower, super comfy beds and everything thought of to make your stay pleasant.
So close to the Stirling Ranges is a bonus if hiking, and the views are incredible.
I can’t recommend highly enough.

This was one of the most unique self catering experiences we have every had. If you are an aeroplane enthusiast as well as an avid hiker, staying at The Lily while you hike the Stirling Ranges, is blissful. From one window of the Dakota, we felt like we were looking over the African bush, from another the Stirling Ranges stand proud and the beautifully handcrafted working windmill on the property hints at a bygone era. Absolutely magical place. There are couple extra surprises, the owner plays the most beautiful jazz and they mill spelt flour onsite. We were entranced by all that has been achieved at The Lily. It is worth adding this was the cleanest and most well-equipped self catering we have ever stayed in too. Happy hiking, and sweet dreams.

We stayed at the Lily June of this year. Hennie and Pluen, the owners were very welcoming.
The setting was so quiet, relaxing and peaceful. It was amazing to step outside and see the Stirling Ranges right on our doorstep.
We stayed in the Dutch Cottage, which was fantastic. It had everything we needed, including an indoor fire which was great.
An added bonus was Steve taking us for a tour inside the windmill. It was great to hear the history of the windmill.
We will definitely be back for a return stay and recommend the Lily Dutch Windmill to anyone who is planning a trip to the Stirling Ranges.

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of visiting The Lily and staying in the Dakota. Firstly, the uniqueness of the accommodation was impressive. Secondly, the interactions with Hennie, Pleun, Lyn and Steve were always extremely friendly and informative. Thirdly, the cleanliness and facilities provided in the plane were top notch. Every surface was sparkling clean and the plane contained everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Finally, the setting and scenery was just so restful and enriching. We could only stay two nights this time but plan to return in the future for longer to experience more of what this great property and region have to offer.

What a wonderful experience sleeping for 2 nights in a real Dakota DC-3 plane. Very unique indeed. Waking up to see the Stirling Ranges was magical. |If I could give one advice don't go in summer and don't be over size 16. Door frames are tiny. Both myself and my husband had to go sideways in the doors. Its also a good workout on your gluts and buttocks as the beds are on a lovely slope about a gradient 8 on a treadmill. I have calves like an Iron man.|It does come with a great air con but its facing the plane door and does not cool the bedroom or the bathroom at all. Was the hotest Sept day in 11 years so being 33 degrees in a tin can was very uncomfortable. Even a fan over head would have been great. Bathroom for most of the day was like a sauna. Need to get rid of the skylight. Was like a sun ray lamp. |Breakfast was brought over every evening and was just lovely. Beautiful made bread, eggs. Lovely orange juice which I'm still trying to find here in Perth and also the yogurts was best I've ever tasted. |We did love our stay and won't forget it ever. We just need to lose weight and book in winter.
