Stopped in for breakfast as i was touring around the area.
Cozy seating in and outside with views overlooking Lake Bonney.
A good range of choices on the menu.

Ordered two coffees around 1115am. Planning to spend around half an hour looking over the lake with a coffee. Many people coming in and seemed to get served before us. Twenty minutes later- still waiting for our coffee. Asked the staff and they said they would make it right away- no apology for the delay, even though they had obviously misplaced/ messed up our order. Wasted our time but the worse part was the lack of apology.

Great location, situated right at the lakeside with nice views of Lake Bonney. Staff were friendly and service was prompt. However, the food was average. Not something I would go back for. Hot beverages were reasonably priced.

Came here with some of my big, and ah, say BIG family for breakfast on the 27th December.
The place is already doing good business, lots of people here.
When we ordered our food, we were told there would be a bit of a wait.
We could see the staff were already working hard, so we're good with that.
Well, the food came out quicker than we all thought, and it was delicious.
My bucket long black, with an extra shot hit the spot.
We highly recommend The Lakes Bakery Cafe and appreciate the excellent customer service by the friendly staff.

Good place and some of the persons from the stuff are really good, but this morning at 11/12h we had a really bad service by one of the women’s serving in the front counter, it looked like she didn’t want to work anymore and was not polite, she also looked at me like I’m a stupid because I told her I wanted to get a brownie and the answer was what? What? We don’t have brownies.. and I showed her where it was the brownie..

Come on try to be positive with the clients, we are the ones who make you business run

The other girl who broth us the coffee in to the table was really good and helpful when I asked which coffee was almond milk and which one was not because they didn’t inform us about that.

Beautiful views of the lake, however thats where it stops, came for breakfast today scrambled and poach eggs were overcooked and the bacon was dipping in grease. Sausage roll pastry was undercooked and soggy. Shocking atmosphere and poor service. Also to add lactose free flat white wasn't lactose free.

Bit tired on the outside but plenty of shade and bowls for dogs. Food was good and friendly staff inside. Venue needs a bit of love but it served its purpose for us “lunch and a drink”.

Delicious! Generous serves with a really lovely view. Nice to have a kids brekky menu. Service was great. As we came early, I don't think the kitchen was fully up and running so a slight wait on food. However, the view of Lake Bonney made up for it.
