Best cocktails in Newcastle! We did a cocktail making class and cannot speak highly enough of our experience. The cocktails were amazing and staff were knowledgeable, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We didn't get to try the Gyoza but the cheese / meat platters served during the class were the perfect touch. We will most certainly be back!

Our team did the cocktail making class for our work Christmas party this year, and the team and I absolutely loved the class. Chris and his team were absolutely amazing with demonstrating their skills and knowledge, we were all blown away - a real highlight. The atmosphere is great, and drinks are amazing (not your standard cocktails either). I would highly recommend the bar and the class to all. Thank you for great night!

We attended a cocktail class which included a welcome drink, 3 amazing cocktails and a delicious Charcuterie board.
It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon and the knowledge and passion Chris had was very intriguing.
We were able to try cocktails we have never seen on a regular menu that were absolutely delicious and learn about the origin of the alcohol which was very interesting.
This place is a hidden gem in Newcastle and highly recommend for high quality, unique and delicious cocktails. We will definitely be back.

Great hidden gem nestled in the heart of Newcastle. The ambience exudes a charming and funky vibe that instantly captivates. The staff members are incredibly friendly. Our mocktails were simply delicious. My only suggestion would be to expand the selection of bar food options as there is only three at the moment. Nonetheless, it's definitely a place worth visiting!

Place is good! Been here a couple times,
Server was so nice, she apologised a lot because someone forgot the food and it got burnt in the kitchen, she provided the food free, also got the cheese meats board. Most amazing board especially for the reasonable price. Drinks were underwhelming unfortunately, cooked strawberry foam was just odd to drink, we were told we need to try tip the drink and get the liquid past the foam. Maybe a short wide cup could be better,

Terrific funky little cocktail bar. We've heard about it and been meaning to get in. We weren't disappointed. Great drinks with a good selection. The gyoza was amazing.

Great cocktail knowledge along with consistently the best cocktails. I have been many times to many places, and Koutetsu has never dipped below 5 stars from my repeated visits over the years. Enthusiastically recommended.
