Absolutely brilliant lunch!
The Yoder smoked chicken breast was the most perfectly cooked chicken I've ever eaten.
New potatoes, green beans wrapped in prosciutto in a fantastic glaze.
Lovely waitress, a great experience.

We stayed there for 3 nights and had a great time. The staff was very helpful and the service could not be better. The room was good and it was very quiet and clean. We can highly recommend this hotel. They also have lunch specials and accept seniors card. A big thanks to Kathy the receptionist who is very welcoming and did everything to make our stay comfortable. Thanks to everyone who looked so well after us. Heike and Holger Pothmann

I’ve been wanting to check out this place for a while. Finally we had the opportunity to go, and I was so excited for the charcoal cooking and the salad bar.
Unfortunately we left very unsatisfied.
To start off with, the salad bar is less than half of what you would expect. There was only potato bake, carrot, pumpkin and broccoli, a pasta salad, a chickpea salad, a lettuce salad and bean sprouts.
We had to ask for a bread roll as we were not served this when others were being served.
I had the chicken skewers which were good! Nice and juicy and a good flavour.
However my partner had the Scotch Steak, medium rare - which was served medium well at best.
When I asked for this one to be replaced there was no issue at all and the ladies behind the bar were very apologetic.
We waited 25 minutes and the replacement still hadn’t come out.
We decided to bite the bullet and leave without the steak, and there was no issue with us receiving our money back for the steak.
Unfortunately this will be our first and last experience here.

Ate here recently. Was a 30 minute wait for our meals but they were yum. I had the creamy garlic prawns which were nice and fresh and crunchy and hubby ate the chicken schnitzel which was real chicken (not like the plastic ones you get some places)

Birthday celebration lunch with family. Meals were amazing as was the service. Great pub, ample parking and great decor and ambiance. Very good wine list to boot. Thanks Highlander!

We were looking forward to a nice meal out..first time in 2 years!! I was bitterly disappointed in the Salt and Pepper squid. It was tough and dried out to the point of being inedible! The salad bar was equally disappointing..wilted green salads and lack of variety in other choices. We would never return to this venue

Our dining experience at the Highlander Hotel was excellent.

The dining room had a good atmosphere with a singer performing in the background. The food was very good, but not outstanding, and typical of pub type food. Also, not the cheapest pub around with snitzels starting at $25 and steaks between $30 and $45.

However, the service was outstanding and the staff were friendly and efficient. Our food came out quickly, and our table was cleared quickly of empty glasses and bottles.

The modest size salad bar was a welcome addition to the food choices. A 10% seniors discount on all menu items was appreciated.

Overall a excellent experience and good value for money. We will attend again in the near future.

We had a family birthday dinner here. Food was good but the man who gave us bread rolls and butter before our meals forgot my son. To us all that was bad service.
