Service above standard. Attentive staff and delicious food, all reasonably priced. Great selection of beers on tap including craft beers from Bent Spoke. The atmosphere felt classy without being over the top. Will be back.

Room was nice, but needed some attention: shower dripping, shower door awkward to open.
Loved the fact that bikes/cars can be locked with the "compound" behind reception.
Reception staff were very pleasant and cheerful to talk to.
The hotel offers $10 if you choose NOT to have room serviced when staying more than one night. The $ is to be spent at their dining room, which is a great ploy to get you to spend more money there.
My wife and I always share our meals. On asking for a second plate, was charged an extra $5. The steak was tasty, but damn tough!

The George Hotel never disappoints!

We popped on for lunch on Saturday 11th January.

As always always Aggi greeted us with a huge friendly smile and welcomed us back!

It's nice to have a place where the staff remember you, not matter how it's been since you were there last and are happy to have you back!

I had the hamburger and my wife had the pan roasted salmon, both meals were delicious and satisfying!

My son and I needed dinner driving back to Sydney from Orange on the weekend and decided to stop here. Very glad we did - we were welcomed by friendly staff into a very modern, fresh and ambient surrounds and had a wonderful meal, just what we wanted. The prices were good and we would certainly go there again.

Awesome service helping a table of 7 (plus a 7MO baby) out with an emergency late night booking at 8pm on a Saturday evening.

Food was lovely and was served with a quick turn around. A tad pricey for the serving size of the food but the quality was excellent.

I attended a group dinner here. Nice venue with room to move. Good variety of beer on tap. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. Meals seemed to be in a slightly higher price range than what you would expect from a pub. I think they're angling a different clientele than your typical hotel. My KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) burger was delicious but quite small. At $22 I expected something a touch bigger than the coffee-mug-sized meal that I received (small bun, stacked high).

Had to change rooms as original didn’t have air con as advertised. Room seemed clean to start with, but portable ac unit pipe went out window so windows didn’t shut right, became mosquito infested during night. Ac also wasn’t big enough to cool room enough. Would probably be fine in cooler months.

Great meals and service. Have eaten here twice in the last fortnight - great both times. Highly recommend the Asian Beef Salad - although it is an entree, it fills you like a main!
