We hired the bbq boat for 7 people today and had the best day! The reception staff were so friendly upon arrival, and amazing with our 3 kids getting them excited for the boat and ensuring they were fitted correctly with the life vests. We also wanted to hire some fishing rods and buy bait and were very knowledgeable on what to get.

The boys and staff who explained where to go and how to use the boat were also great and detailed in what to do/not to do. The boat itself was new and very clean - perfect for our long weekend lunch!

We were told about the perfect calm spot to fish, cook our bbq and also dock to get out for a swim - was perfect. The kids also all got to catch some fish. They are also very reasonable priced compared to a lot of the others we were looking at.

Definitely do not listen to the poor reviews on the 'old lady' having poor customer service or staff not explaining - all were great and so lovely to deal with. Would definitely recommend and will be back. Thanks so much team we will see you next time 😊

Father’s Day Ruined – What a Scam!

This was supposed to be a special Father’s Day, but this boat hire turned it into a complete nightmare. They happily took my $100 deposit but did not provide proper instructions. The receptionist was unbelievably rude, dismissive, and downright unfair — the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

To make matters worse, when the boat got stuck mid way, they stood by and made ME push it, like it was my problem. Then, adding insult to injury, they snatched $100 from me for improper instructions.

I feel cheated, scammed, and disrespected. This place is nothing but a money trap. Please don’t waste your time, money, or special occasions here. Stay far away from this place.

Thank you Tonia 👍 You are amazing 👏👏
If you are at Central coast or pass by The Entrance I would highly recommend to visit this local shop. They provide heaps of facilities such as hiring boats 🛥️ 🛶 fishing rods 🎣 nets, and baits.
The staffs are super friendly, professional, respectful and kind!
I would like to mention Tonia for helping us to fix our fishing rod! It wasn’t easy, it was really hard but because of her skills and experience she sorted it out! Tonia is very generous, she didnt charge us even a penny!
Despite having customers walking in and out, she managed everything well and served all customers without any delays.
On top of that, she gave our daughter some bread to feed the fish together underneath the boats at her shop.
Her kindness made our day 💯

Thank you once again Tonia, I will always visit your shop whenever I go there…..

The manager was particularly great, she gave us great advice on when to go out with approaching possible winds forecast in the afternoon. She was spot on and we paddled during the best part of the day. Just magical. We found pricing very reasonable as well. What a wonderful spot. Thank you.

Good people. Staff are very friendly and nice. Good stuff to buy for your fishing supplies. Cheap. And heaps of selections for water recreations (like boats, paddle boards, and kayaks)

We booked online through the website and attempted to call numerous times throughout the week to confirm but never received a call back. When we arrived, there were no signs up to indicate the place was closed, and when we asked just to confirm, the older man who served us was rude and sarcastic. A simple ‘no we are closed’ would have sufficed.

Whilst I understand that there may be circumstances which would result in closure, it is the lack of care and consideration for our time, and unnecessarily belittling response which was disappointing.

Luckily we were able to hire a boat down at Killcare which was well worth the 40 minute drive away. They were more apologetic than the folks at The Entrance Boat Shed and took care of us.

I was the person who drove down early and arrived at opening time (it eas closed), waited 20min before knocking on the shop door after seeing no signage about why it's closed still. A guy answered and I was met with "is this going to be a stupid question?" before I had a chance to speak. I replied that we had a booking, then he rudely gestures to look at his store "can you see?" - the boat shop had water running inside. He proceedeed to tell me it was illegal to go out on a boat.

My mate had booked with them prior, called continuously the whole week every day only to be met with voicemail directs, and now I have this grumpy lad early in the morning first thing asking me the most stupid question himself. Our start to the day was ruined, and I'm dissapointed in these owners/staff.

You can tell that their customer service is not up to standard, as every response is to their bad reviews and is met with max defense.

I'm only giving them 2 stars because he at least said thank you at the end of our conversation after berating me in front of my group of friends.

They're lucky they've got a monopoly around here with boat hires, but I'd suggest to travel even 40min elsewhere so you don't have a bad time and bad day.

I’ve never experienced such bad customer service before in my life.

She was nice and polite at the beginning and then she was extremely rude.

It was a beautiful hot day and all of their boats were sitting there unused and I thought that was a bit of a red flag but because I was excited I didn’t pay attention to that.

The young boy that was working there was lovely, if he worked on the front desk then they would have a lot more customers and the boats would get hired.

They need to hire some friendly staff to work at the front desk….

Go to the long Jetty boat shed they’re lovely.
