I started attending Wednesday evenings tentatively with my sister to get me "out n about" after a mid life separation. Best move EVER... Best crafting advice/expertise/friendship/club EVER. Do yourself a favour!

Warm and welcoming, The Empty Bobbin is a great little gathering space for a catch up with friends, old and new, who share a love of craft. A wealth of knowledge and inspiration, the classes are an ideal way to learn something new. A giggle with Kym, a new crochet stitch with Nanna Shirley or a walk down the yarn or fabric aisles for a browse, it doesn't get better than that 😊

How can you resist? On entering The Empty Bobbin, you are immediately struck by the warmth of the welcome. Not only by owner Kym McGlinn, but staff and other visitors to the establishment. The workspace for lessons or just doing your “thing” at the front of the store is a hive of activity, a wide range of goods available for purchase & if you can’t find what you’re looking for, a referral to another local business who might be able to assist is forthcoming. I will be a returning customer & highly recommend you make the time to visit!

Kym and the team make you feel welcome. Her knowledge and hands on experience helps me as a beginner. A cuppa while we work on dressmaking. Perfect! The ladies that come in with their projects on Fridays are welcoming and lovely.
